Yuka panted harshly as she ran, but every two steps of hers was one of his. She didn't know where to go. She wanted her brother; he'd know what to do. The young girl whimpered as she pushed herself, she still needed to go to the bathroom.

Why wasn't her brother there? He promised to stay there. What if something happened to him? Yuka felt tears escape her eyes at the thought to Morishige taking pictures of her dead brother.

"BIG BROTHER!" Yuka screamed as she ran. Her eyes flashed to the bathroom. She could hide there...

"Yuka!"

"SATOSHI!" She yelled, running towards the sound, freezing as a bookcase fell almost on top of her. Yuka whimpered pitifully before turning to run again. She didn't want to die- The middle scholar let out a high pitched scream as her face hit someone's chest. She pulled way and fells to her knees, waiting to die.

"Oh! I'm terribly sorry."

"Big brother! You lied!" Yuka yelled as she attached herself to the person. "You lied to me! You said you wouldn't leave me by myse-!" She screamed, looking up at her brother. Yuka's eyes widened. That wasn't Satoshi... He was tall, taller than Satoshi and Ms. Yui. The man smiled softly, a warm light in his eyes.

"Are you...injured?" He asked. Yuka took a step back, her body shaking again in fear.

"I...I'm sorry." She took a deep breath. He seemed to be nice, and wasn't chasing her like Morishige was. "I'm...M-my name is Yuka Mochida." Yuka whispered.

"Mine's Yuuya Kizami. I'm an eleventh grader at Byakudan Senior High." He paused and smiled encouragingly. "Yuka, was it? Were you also spirited away here after performing the forbidden Sachiko charm?" Yuka frowned, Sachiko charm? What was that?

"...I dunno..." She answered in a soft voice.

"I see. Given that you called me 'big brother' a moment ago I assume he's come here with you?" Kizami asked with a curious tilt of his head. Yuka felt her throat tighten and small sobs escaped her. Those soon grew into loud, hiccupping sobs. Kizami's face softened as he watched the small girl weep.

"You poor girl. I've also been separated from my little sister, and am presently searching for her." Yuka looked up at that, gazing at the tall man with misted eyes.

"Your little sister...is in here?" She asked rubbing her eyes as she sniffled. Kizami nodded, and then paused as if thinking.

"If you'd like, you may accompany me. Well look for your big brother along the way. In a place like this, after all, the living should stick together as much as possible. My poor sister is probably off somewhere crying right now, just as you are... I simply must find her. So what do you say? Will you join me on the hunt?" Yuka looked up at him with large blue eyes. If what he said was true then shouldn't Morishige have wanted to stay with them instead of...

She shivered and looked at Kizami's offered hand. It wouldn't hurt to help him... He was looking for his sister and said he'd help her find Satoshi. And, he was bigger than Morishige, so if he tried to chase her Kizami would protect her. Yuka nodded slowly and took his hand. "Yes...please help me find my big brother." No matter how much he could protect her she would feel safer if she was with Satoshi.

"I will. Fear not. I'm certain we'll cross his path." Kizami said as he squeezed her hand comfortingly. As he started to lead them Yuka couldn't help but smile a little to herself. He seemed nice...maybe when they found the others he could come back with them. She looked at his back then to the shadows around them. There was no way he could hurt her...

Irony for the win. This is one of my favorite scenes in the game with two of my favorite characters. I wanted to write about Yuka's thoughts while this was gonig on.
