HAI EVERYONE! HAPPY CONTESTSHIPPING DAYYYYYYY! so this is super on short notice cause I'm suuuuuper busy with school so yeah. this is an idea I had over the summer so i decided only to post it now.
IM SO SORRY TO DISAPPOINT CAUSE ITS SUUUPER SHORT! THE SHORTEST IVE EVER MADE HUHU

"Look at her."
May told her husband as she watched her 2 days old daughter sleep in her crib. She couldn't help but smile as the little girl slept soundly with an adorable smile on her face. Must be dreaming of something nice.
Drew, who was seated on their bed, looked over at May to see her leaning against the crib as she peeked over their daughter. He smiled and stood up as he walked over to where she stood. He slipped an arm around her shoulders and looked down at the dreaming girl. A smile creeping on his lips at the sight in front of him.
"I wonder what she's dreaming about." May said as she continued to look at the girl with tired eyes. He chuckled lightly and moved his gaze to May. He could see the apparent tiredness in her eyes and she looked as though she was about to collapse. Though the smile on her face was enough for him to see how much she wanted to stand and look at their new born. "Maybe she's dreaming about us?"
May shifted her vision to Drew and cocked her head to the side as a questioning look. "You think?"
He chuckled again and looked back in the crib. "Maybe."
May simply nodded and yawned. Drew looked back to her to see that her eyes were beginning to droop shut. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair and smiled as an idea came to him.
Before she knew what was happening, Drew had lifted her off the ground and carried her bridal style as he started to walk back to their bed.
"Drew! What are you doing?" She quietly hissed at him playfully as she hit his chest lightly.
"Well, you shouldn't push yourself. You just gave birth after all." He said with a smirk on his face.
May pouted at this. "I can take care of myself you know." She said as she crossed her arms and pretended to be mad but Drew saw right through it.
"It's kind of my job to take care of you, don't you think?"
He sat down on the bed, still carrying May in his arms. He shifted on the bed until he reached the pillows and leaned back as he fully rested May on his lap. She immediately snuggled up in his chest and he wrapped his arms around her comfortably.
"You ok?" He asked her. She closed her eyes and hummed softly in content. "I've been better."
He down at her and stroked her hair as she began to doze off into her sleep.
In only a matter of minutes, she was out and slept soundly while cuddled up on Drew's chest. He smiled down at her and grabbed the blanket and tucked both of them in.
He kissed her forehead one last time. "I love you, May." Soon enough, he fell asleep.

how we got together,
how we got married,
you always manage to make me fall in love with you all over again.
Even after all these years.
