This story is a short story on Crescent Moon Demon's picture called Woo.
Wheeljack stood at the door, afraid to let anyone know he was there. He had gotten this far, but still doubted his ability to tell Perceptor his feelings. The Border Collie didn't understand or show many emotions, but despite that, Jackie had like him for a long time. It hurt the Bulldog to withhold his love, but since the accident creating the twins, Jackie didn't feel Perceptor would ever return his feelings. Before he could deliberate any farther, a young pup opened the door. He was a mix of autodog and kittycon, and Jackie knew him and his twin brother well.
"Jetfire, could you get Percy for me?" Jackie asked nervously.
The orange mix nodded and bounded to the stairs to the basement.
"Mom! Wheeljack's here!" Jetfire called down.
"I'll be up in a minute." A monotone and computer-like voice called back.
Jackie watched as Jetfire ran back to the kitchen where he and his brother, Jetstorm, had been cooking. He started to breathe heavy as the object of his desires, a red Border Collie, walked up to him.
"Sorry if this is a bad time, Percy." Jackie apologized.
"It's fine.' Perceptor's monotone voice calmed the Bulldog's nerves. "The boys are making dinner. I will tomorrow. Would you like to join us?"
"That sounds wonderful. But I had a small question." Jackie stated shyly, holding out the bouquet of roses he had behind his back, kneeling to one knee.
"They're lovely, Wheeljack. But I fail to see the purpose of them."
"Perce, they're supposed to mean…" Wheeljack trailed off.
He couldn't confess if Perceptor truly didn't know. Even though it had been 16 years since the Border Collie was raped and forced to carry the twins, he was still sensitive about it. He still may not associate love with something more than just lust.
"He loves you like Jazz does Prowl!" Jetfire's voice rang out.
Wheeljack slapped his forehead. Yes, he loved Perceptor. Yes, Jazz loved Prowl. But using the Dalmatian's love as an example wasn't the best. Jazz was too much of a show off. It might give Perceptor the wrong idea.
Perceptor was silent for a while. Jackie couldn't tell what he was thinking through his optics. The Border Collie's glasses slid down and he pushed them back up just as the Bulldog stood up.
"I'm sorry, Percy. Just forget it. I don't want you upset." Jackie stated sadly.
He didn't get far away when a hand caught his arm and just held on. Turning, the Bulldog saw that Perceptor stopped him with a ghost of a smile.
"Percy?" Jackie whispered.
"Wheeljack, if it were anyone else, I'd be offended. But I happen to know and respect you. And Jazz truly loves Prowl, no matter how eccentric Jazz can be."
Wheeljack blinked, watching as the smile grew wider. Giving and experimental kiss on the cheek, he realised Perceptor was completely fine with his feelings. And maybe returned them.
"Will you be my mate?" Jackie asked.
"It would be and honor Wheeljack."
I'll post another up soon. Hope you like it.
