My Hero Is You

(A/N)I saw a youtube video for 1/362 with this song, and wanted to write this on the side… don't worry, I'll update The Bet and into space as soon as I can… I'm grounded from my downstairs computer, where the docs are…X3

She tried so hard to be the best supreme leader that she could be. The problem was that she wasn't sure that she totally fit the requirements for the job. He knew that.

Why do I only see
What I don't have
When my reality
Its things are not that bad

Why did she only see what she didn't have, he wondered that on a daily basis. When her reality wasn't that bad. She was the best supreme leader that he had ever had.

Your faith has shown me that

When she had accidentally caused father to be the supreme leader, he had stood right beside her , not letting her give up. Giving her the strength to get it back. When she collapsed from eating the disgusting broccoli, he had stayed by her side. When she tried to put him in his place, he just stood right on her level, not moving an inch.

When she had doubted her leadership skills, he made her see that she was the only one for the job. With him by her side, he gave her the power of strength and mind, and made her think that there was nothing that she couldn't do. He may not have known it, but he was her hero, and the only one that she gave a damn about. At least outside her family…

He never saw the sacrifice she made- leaving him alone and not approaching him about her feelings for him. She never saw the price he paid to keep her out of his heart- or at least his mind. How could she make it right to him, to make up for what his girlfriend had done to him? Nigel wasn't looking for pity, but she just wanted to apologize for being happy that that horrible, nearly stalkerish girl dumped him. Maybe he would look at her more now…

When his world went crazy, she was there just in time. When the ground shook beneath him, she gave him hope, and when he tried to push her out of his mind, she kept coming back, or not moving at all.

He ran into her outside her office, on her moon base balcony. No words were said. He dragged her inside, took off the space helmet, and kissed her.

"You're my hero, Nigel…" she whispered.

Nigel Uno's heart swelled at that.

"I always thought that you were mine…" he responded.
