A/N: idk I had an epiphany for the suika ship. plus, I'm trying something that's not ss. I'm not very fond of Karin, but I think she and Suigetsu would be adorable. This ship needs more sailors tbh.

This probably came a bit OOC since I don't know their character that much. anyway, here it is

Just That

"Thought I'd find you here."

The intruding voice made Karin jerk from her reverie as she came face to face with the last person she wanted to see. Or so she thinks.

She sighed. "Save it, Suigetsu. I'm not in the mood."

"I haven't even said anything yet." Suigetsu retorted, sitting next to her in the middle of Konoha's forests.

"Whatever you're thinking, I'm pretty sure I don't want to hear it."

"Well, I'm gonna say it anyway." Karin turned to him with a vicious glare. "So," he continues. "What do you do now?"

"What?" she bit back.

Suigetsu cracked a humorless toothy grin. "He loves her, you know."

She scoffs. "I don't need you to point things out for me, Sharky. And what's wrong with you? Did you experience some kind of metanoia whilewe're in here or what."

He just laughs. "Could you believe it though? Sasuke's actually being a softy — in his own Sasuke-esque way."

At this, Karin grabs him by his collar, "Can't you take a fucking hint?! I know he loves her! I know he had always been hers! I've seen the way he looks at her. I know, I know, Suigetsu!"

Tears were streaming down the red-head's face, but all she could care about was the crushing feeling in the recesses of her heart.

Grabbing her wrists, Suigetsu placed them back on her sides. He then lifts his hand, placing it on top of her head.

"You piss me off so much." He begins. "All you had to do was look the other way, you obnoxious woman. Look at me." As he said this, Karin lifts her face and sees him with a smile. Suigestu laughed. Of course she doesn't understand.

"You're right. Maybe this place really did gave me a change of heart." Karin was still blinking at him. Did she just get confessed to?

"W-what —"

"It's late. If we're gonna be staying here, it's best we don't give people the impression that we're going to murder them in their sleep."

Suigetsu starts to get up. Before he could walk away, she grabs his hand.

"Wait for me." She says softly as he looks at her with a smile and her face grows warmer.

"I have been doing just that."

She swore there was an underlying message to that.
