A day like every other day in the City. Bright and sunny, towers of the colour of clouds, the roofs all a shade of hazy crimson. Many would wander into the city, but for the ones who do, they all said the same thing: "It was the nicest place I've visited in a while". A while being, outside the city, was nothing but grass and mountains for miles on end. A city precieved to be isolated, though quite known around the world. Within the frontmost center of the city, two precieved friends sat together with a stack of pancakes and pastries. Their dog, Gracie, wagged her tail upon the sight of the salivating inducing meals.
"I'm enjoying this meal quite well," Nero spoke in a bright tone. "Especially this tea. I cannot ever explain how the combinction of lavender and mint could provide such a sweet but chilling tone to my tounge."
Rossa laughed, but not just at Nero. Gracie was trying to reach her paws up at the wooden table trying to claim a pancake for her own. She placed her hand on Gracie's forehead, her coat of light gold gave a perspective of visable reaction
"Don't worry, I'll take a walk out with you later and give you your own treats."
Bother Rossa and Nero took a toast to an amazing day, staring at themselves before looking at the large purple Notalium floating in the peak of the city, representing the glory of power, but somehow happiness. They knew "Al Niente" could never arrive here, they would be protected by the Notalium everywhere. Notalium around their necks, on the front of all doors, even on the sidewalks they pace through every day.
The two of them continued to talk happily in the day like always. It felt like they could live like this forever, a day that they hoped to live for all eternity.
