Okay, this is a new one for you all, another Stark OC, this time set in canon. This was a request by another user, sketchywolf, and I actually like this and I hope to make it new for you. This is the story of Edward Stark, younger twin to Arya and his journey throughout the series, this will be more show based than book based, mainly because I have plans ahead of time. And the pairing will be Dany/OC. However, I will be making major changes in terms of age to have it make sense.

Ages:

Jon, Robb, Theon-17, a month shy away from 18

Dany-15, a few months shy from 16

Joffrey-15 just turned that age

Sansa-14

Arya, Edward-13

Winter is Coming

He was watching his brother Bran doing archery practice with his brothers, Robb, Rickon and Jon. When he missed again, Bran stomped his foot to the ground in frustration. Edward felt for him then. He himself had a hard time with bows and arrows when he started, he could use a sword and wasn't terrible at it, though he wasn't as good as Jon but Edward could excel at archery even beating Theon Greyjoy, his father's ward. His brother Jon went up to him and out his hands on his shoulders.

"Go on, father's watching." He turned to see his father, Lord Eddard Stark and his mother Lady Catelyn Stark watching them. "And your mother." Jon said. Bran nodded his head and nocked another arrow. He missed the target entirely and it hit a tree, causing all of them to laugh.

"And which one of you was a marksman at ten?" His father said sharply. Edward couldn't help himself.

"I was." He said. His father chuckled at that.

"Aye, but you were terrible when you started too." His father said and then turned to Bran. "Keep practicing Bran. Go on." Jon leaned toward him.

"Don't think too much Bran." He told him.

"Relax your bow arm." Robb said. Bran readied his bow to fire, but all of a sudden another arrow hit the target dead center. Ed and his brothers turned around to find his twin Arya with a bow in her hand. She bowed in a dramatic fashion. Bran started chasing after her. Ed laughed along with his brothers. but then he and his brothers had to go see his father behead a deserter from the Night's Watch. This had been the fifth one that year. Ed wondered why they were abandoning the Wall that much. But the thing that surprised him the most was the fact that his father was bringing Bran along. When Ed had to go to his first beheading, it had been a few months ago. But Bran was only ten, he didn't need to see that, but whatever his father said they obeyed.

The deserter was brought forth to the block. Ed could hear what he was saying.

"I know I broke my oath. And I know I'm a deserter. People need to know. I saw what I saw, I saw the White Walkers. Can you get word to my family? Tell them I'm no coward, tell them I'm sorry." He said before his father nodded his head to the two men to put him down. Theon then presented his family's ancestral sword Ice to his father who unsheathed it and put it on the ground.

"In the name of Robert of the House Baratheon, the First of his Name…"

"Don't look away." Ed heard Jon tell Bran. "Father will know if you do." His father finished the king's titles and then his own before sentencing the man to die. He swung the sword down and beheaded the deserter. Ed didn't flinch at it. Then he turned back to Bran who looked like he didn't either. "You did well." He heard Jon say. Ed went up to Bran at that moment.

"You alright?" He asked him. Bran just meekly nodded. "I know it's not easy the first time. It still isn't for me. But you have to know why father has to do this. He'll tell you." Ed said before going to mount his horse. After the execution they all made their way back. Along the way they ran into a stag that had been devoured. Ed dismounted and went alongside Theon.

"Mountain lion?" He asked.

"There are no mountain lions in these woods." His father said. What else could have this then? Ed wondered. His father went further down the river to see what was there and he came across a very strange sight. There was a large wolf with six puppies surrounding it. Everyone looked shocked to see such a thing.

"It's a freak." Theon said.

"It's a direwolf." His father said firmly. "Tough old beast." He said as he took the antler out of its throat.

"There are no direwolves south of the Wall." Robb said shaken.

"Now there are six." Jon said. He grabbed one of them and handed it to Bran. "You want to hold it?"

"Where will they go, their mother's dead." Bran asked.

"They don't belong down here." Ser Rodrick Cassel said.

"Better a quick death, they won't last long without their mother." His father said. Theon immediately unsheathed his dagger and went to Bran.

"Right, give it here." Theon said as he grabbed the pup from Bran's hands.

"No!" Bran shouted.

"Put away your blade." Robb said.

"I take orders from your father not you."

"Please father!" Bran said trying to save them. His father shook his head.

"I'm sorry Bran." He said.

"Lord Stark!" Jon said. This surprised Ed as Jon always, whenever they were away from his mother, he always called his father by their familial relationship. "There are six pups. One for each of the Stark children. The direwolf is the sigil of your house. They were meant to have them." Ed looked to his father to see if he would let them have them. His father then turned to all of them.

"You will train them yourselves, you will feed them yourselves, and if they die, you will bury them yourselves." He told them all. They all began gathering the wolves. Ed in particular found a wolf with red fur that looked like it was painted on its back. It also had deep blue eyes, like his mother, Robb and Sansa. Ed then noticed that Jon hadn't gotten a wolf. He went up to him.

"What about you Jon?" He asked. Jon shook his head.

"I'm not a Stark." He said.

"You are to me." Ed said. Jon just gave him a smile and urged him to go to his brothers. Ed then noticed Jon go near the river.

"What is it?" Robb asked. Jon then reached down from the ground and picked up a white direwolf with red eyes.

"Ah the runt of the litter. That one's yours Snow" Theon said smugly before walking off. Ed gave him a glare behind the back of his head. Before smiling to Jon happy that he at least got a wolf of his own.

Later on he was walking to get his hair cut when he was bumped into his twin Arya. Arya took more after their father while he was more of a combination of his father and mother. He had his mother's looks and would grow to be very tall one day. But he had his father's eyes and face. He and Arya were often mocked by some of the people calling them horseface. Even their sister Sansa called Arya that, though she didn't like it when people called Ed that. He couldn't get her sometimes, on some days she annoyed him to death with her stupid stories of Florian and Jonquil, on others, she was warm and loving toward him. Maybe it's a big sisterly thing, but Ed couldn't get Sansa sometimes. Ed picked up Arya from the ground.

"Well, what now?" he asked her.

"Did you hear about the king?" She asked.

"Yes, everyone has." He asked bored.

"Don't you want to see how King Robert smashed Rhaegar on the Trident?"

"Why would I want to hear about that?"

"Because it was amazing when father told us about it?"

"Well, I just don't want to hear it again."

"Why?"

"Because it's all terrible. Why would I want to hear about a war that killed our grandfather, uncle and aunt? If I was someone else from another family, fine. But this? I don't want to hear it." Ed said solemnly. He then felt Arya's arm wrapping around him in a hug.

"I'm sorry. I should have known that. I could feel you were uncomfortable."

"Well, that's why we're twins right?" Ed responded. It was true, they could feel whatever the other was feeling at that moment. It was something that connected them in a way.

"Yes. Alright, well I'll let you go on your way to… wherever you're going." She said breaking away from the hug.

"To get my hair cut." He said.

"You barely have any hair." She responded back.

"I do too! It's just not that long." He said offended by that. They both shared a laugh.

"Why are you cutting your hair?"

"Mother said we have to look presentable for the royal family." He said.

"Oh, well have fun." She said walking away.

"Thanks!" He called back. Ed then made his way to where his brothers were getting their hair cut. Theon was there as well.

"Why's your mother so dead set on getting us pretty for the king?" Jon asked.

"It's for the queen I bet. I hear she's a slink bit of mink." Theon said.

"What's a mink?" Ed asked. All three of them laughed at that.

"Well, a mink is—" Theon started.

"He'll learn that when he's older Theon." Robb said.

"I am thirteen you know. I think I should be told this by now." Ed said.

"Much older Ed." Robb said sternly looking at Theon specifically so that he didn't say another word.

"Fine." Ed said getting his shirt off. Robb was finished with his hair and he got up.

"Go on Tommy, shear him good." Robb said patting Jon on the arm. "He's never met a girl he liked better than his own hair." Jon then sat down with a sad look on his face, though Ed saw that it was more for his hair than his feelings. Robb then looked to Ed and then down his arm where he saw a fresh scar on it. Ed saw this and tried to conceal it but to no avail.

"Where's that from this time?" Robb asked. Ed just bowed his head in shame. "The Wolfswood again?" Robb asked more sternly. Ed meekly nodded. "Damn it Ed. How many times do we have to tell you not to go there again without an escort?" Robb reprimanded him.

"I had someone with me." Ed insisted.

"Arya again? I swear you two just go begging for trouble."

"No, this time I had just Meleys with me." Ed said. That was the name of his wolf. Since his wolf had the same sort of red coloring as the dragon Meleys, ridden by Rhaenys Targaryen during the Dance of Dragons he decided to name her that. And that was another thing, he had discovered too late that Meleys was actually a girl this whole time not a boy like he wanted. But he decided to use that to his advantage, so he gave her that name and she was a good wolf. She was quiet like him, but whenever she was hungry or sensed something nearby she would let out a growl.

"Ed, you know we love you but you have to stop going all over the North. Mother wouldn't take it if you turned up missing for good."

"It won't happen. I always find my way back." Ed said. Robb just shook his head and rolled his eyes.

Eventually he and Arya were walking through the crowds outside Winterfell to see the king come in. Edward was following her. She was wearing a helmet she stole from one of the guards and made her way to a wagon. Edward followed her on it. Then they saw the king's men coming through the town. He could see the armor of the Kingsguard and a man with a dog helmet. Edward thought it looked intimidating. They then made their way back to where their family was, but Arya was stopped by their father who pulled the helmet off her head. Edward stood next to Sansa.

"Where were you? Mother was worried for you. So was I." She scolded him.

"Quit worrying about me Sansa. I'm fine."

"I'm your sister, and older than you, I'm supposed to be worried for you."

He was about to retort back when Arya shoved him aside.

"Move!" She said.

"You move!" He said back. They were about to fight, but a stern look from their mother stopped them. Then the royal party entered. Edward saw the boy on the horse smile at Sansa who smiled back dreamily. Edward rolled his eyes at that. Already he could see the boy was trouble, but he was the Crown Prince so it made sense for Sansa to start falling for him. Even if he was a prick like his brother said. Then the king came on his horse and they all bent the knee when his father did. To say that Edward was disappointed was an understatement. He had heard all the stories about the Demon of the Trident. Robert Baratheon defeated three armies in a single day but this man looked like he ate three meals in one sitting. The king hobbled off his horse and went to his father and gestured for him to stand. All the Starks stood up.

"Your Grace." His father said. The king looked at him as if studying him.

"You got fat." He said. Ed almost laughed at that. Even more so when he saw his father gestured to his belly. The king instead laughed and pulled his father into a hug. He then pulled his mother into one as well. "Cat!" he then patted Rickon on the head. "Nine years, why haven't I seen you? Where the hell have you been?"

"Guarding the North for you, Your Grace. Winterfell is yours." His father said. Ed could see the queen and the rest of her children exit out of the carriage.

"Where's the Imp?" Arya asked Sansa.

"Will you shut up?" Sansa reprimanded her. Robert then approached them.

"Who have we here? You must be Robb." He said to his eldest brother, shaking his hand. He went to Sansa next. "My you're a pretty one." He told her. He went up to Arya. "Your name is?"

"Arya." His sister replied. Robert then went up to him.

"And you?"

"Edward. Your Grace." He said. The king merely hummed in response. He finally went up to Bran.

"Oh, show us your muscles." Bran raised his arm up for the king and he laughed. "You'll be a solider." He said. Then Edward saw Jaime Lannister. Though he would have found that on his own if Arya hadn't needlessly pointed it out. Then Robert and his father went down to the crypts and they all went to prepare for the feast.

"Did you see the way Sansa was looking at Prince Joffrey?" Arya asked him.

"Sadly yes." Ed said.

"I don't know what she sees in him. He looks like a prick."

"It's not just him, the queen and the Kingslayer look like pricks."

"So it runs in their family."

"Well, father always said they look down on everyone in the Seven Kingdoms."

"Why? They have a stupid rock as their castle." Arya said. She and Ed shared a laugh at that.

"I know, and we built Winterfell and the Wall. The Lannisters haven't built shit. The house they stole that castle from built it. They just steal whatever they want."

"Exactly!" Arya exclaimed.

"So what are lions to us?" Ed said.

"Wolf shit."

"Exactly, we're wolves they're lions. They may have sharp claws, but we have sharp fangs. We can bite just as hard as they can. Maybe even harder. Remember what father says."

"Winter is Coming." Arya said in a terrible impression of their father.

"Not exactly. The lone wolf dies…" He trailed off.

"But the pack survives." Arya finished.

"Right. They may be a the same like a pack, but from what I've seen, they don't like even their own family, especially the Imp. The pack always survives." He said.

"Let's show those lion shits what true Starks are made of." Arya declared.

For the rest of the evening Edward enjoyed himself. He was making japes with Arya and Robb, while he saw Sansa with the queen and their mother. He saw her stumble a bit but retained her smile. Eventually she sat down next to Jeyne and looked at Joffrey. Ed could see through the act. that brat wasn't fooling anyone with his smiles. He was a prick, nothing more. Then he saw Arya fling her spoon with food in it at Sansa. He stifled a laugh before he got up and helped clean her face. She thanked him before he saw Robb carry Arya off to bed. Eventually he went to bed as well. Sleep was easy for him, but he couldn't help but feel something was coming. But he was a Stark, he would be ready for whatever passes his way.

Again, special thanks to sketchywolf for this inspiration. Let me know what you all think.
