She searched for a sign in his eyes. A sign that he cared, a sign that he wanted more.
I need only one, she begged.
None.
She lost hope. Simply pushing him aside, she ran past him and out of the classroom doors.
Leaning against a wall for support, he clenched his fists tight.
"It's all for the best." He told himself.
Because we can only be lovers for so long, but we can be friends for all eternity.
