Author's Note: So... I've just realised that all the short stories I write that don't really affect the main plot of any of my stories are called "one-shots". Yeah, I'm noobish. And now I give you another one-shot! :P
"Dim! Dim! Dim! Dim!"
"What?"
"Dim! Dim! Dim! Dim!"
"What?"
"Dim! Dim! Dim! Dim!"
"WHAT?"
"Hi."
Dimentio eyed Mr. L furiously. He was smirking, his chair on its hind legs, his own legs crossed and resting on the table. "Shut up," the jester snapped.
"Yea, yea," said L dismissively.
Suddenly, O'Chunks burst inside. He was waving his hands and exclaiming in such a way that no-one could distinguish one word from another.
"Please stop speaking this garbage," requested Dimentio.
O'Chunks ended up stopping eventually, but he was in such a state of excitement that his face was flushed.
"Your face resembles a tomato," said Mr. L absent-mindedly.
Chunks flushed even more, then replied. "Guys, ya wouldn't believe 'dis!"
"You aced a maths test?" suggested Dimentio.
"You got a date with Nastasia?" guessed L.
O'Chunks shook his head, beaming. "Even better!"
"What, then?" chorused the other two.
The warrior took a deep breath, and yelled, "I JUST SAW THE COUNT EAT SPINACH!"
"You what now?"
The violent sounds of vomiting echoed out of the open door of the boys' bathroom. Timpani stared worriedly at her husband.
"Are you okay, Blumiere?"she called.
More puking. Mimi shuddered. "I dunno why we have to stay here and listen to County chuck up his dinner."
"It's my fault," muttered Nastasia. "I put spinach on his plate, but I didn't know he was allergic!"
"He's not allergic," Timpani sighed. "He just can't tolerate the taste."
"What?" exclaimed Raven. "Spinach is delicious! Especially with horseradish! Mm... ooh! And mayo! And... and a light squeezing of orange juice! Mixed in with lettuce and olives, it's one of my favourite salads!"
Mimi stuck her tongue out in disgust. "Yuck! Golly, Rave, how can you eat that kinda stuff?"
Raven shrugged. "I'm a vegetarian."
"We know that," said Nastasia helpfully.
"I hope he's okay," gulped Timpani.
"He'll be fine," assured Raven.
The loudest chuck-up proved Raven wrong.
