Brighter Days
Far, away from it all
You and me with no one else around
A brand new start
Is all we need, it's all we need to mend these hearts
Back to the beginning-Kelly Clarkson, Be Still
No one ever saw Leah shed a tear over anything that happened to her.
No one, except one person. Jacob Black. Jacob would sit with Leah on the beach, trying to comfort her, telling her that she didn't need Sam, and that she deserved better than him. But he didn't force her to get over Sam, just listened to her, silently suffering along with her.
But Jacob didn't show that it hurt him to see Leah in pain. He just sat by Leah whispering things like "You can get through this," or "He doesn't deserve you."
As they got closer, Jacob began to find other ways to comfort Leah, through hugs. Leah didn't push him away, didn't scream at him, just let herself be hugged.
In a way, it felt good to be hugged. It reminded her of Sam, but just enough that it didn't hurt to think of it. Leah wondered if maybe she could get over Sam. That thought sent her back into her depression. She wasn't going to forget Sam anytime soon.
And Jacob let her go through this in her own way, never trying to make her forget Sam, even though Jacob wished she would.
Because Jacob loved her, and he would do anything to make her feel better.
(A/N: I don't really like the ending of this. I finished writing it a few days after I started, so I think I might have gotten out of the style of writing. Oh well. I really like writing about this story between Jacob and Leah. Reviews are love!)
