Namia
worked at the Hip Hog for quite awhile now. So she knew everything
that happened aroungd the bar. She especially knew about people who
came in and out of Hip Hog. There was Sig who was a Wastlander and a
certain Renegade with an annoying rat on his shoulder. The Renegade
especially interested her. She hated guys, so she wasn't in love with
him or had a crush on him. It was the fact that he never ever smiled.
Sure, he grinned occasionally or smirked, but never had a real smile
on his face. It was only when Jak was talking to Sig and Krew was
snoozing, that she called Daxter over.
"Whatcha
want sweet cheeks?" Daxter asked trying to flatter her. She
rolled her eyes.
"Has Jak ever smiled
before?" She asked him.
"Sure he
has!" Daxter stated.
"No, not
before prison, but after?" Yes, she knew about Jak. Krew had
told her.
"..." Daxter was deep
in thought. "Why do you ask?
"Just
wandering." It wasn't her usual self to pry, but this was where
curiosity killed the cat. And with Jak, it was literally.
"Nope." Daxter noticed Jak
leaving. "Gotta go!"
"Wait,
Jak!." (yes they have met before)
"What?"
He grunted.
"Smile." Namia told
him.
This request threw off Jak. "No."
He told her.
Namia smirked. She knew he
would be like this. "What, you a wuss?!"
This
got Jak mad.
"Don't smile like you
would a grin, or to anyone else. But, like a natural smile, or how
you would smile if you were in front of Keira." Yes, she knew
about Keira as well.
It took a very
long time, but Jak finally did it. He blushed first, but smiled for
the first time ever, since he had been in prison. It wasn't the usual
grin or anything like that. It was the real deal. You could see his
ocean blue eyes clearly, and for the first time ever, you could see
the Sandover boy that Keira had once loved. Both Daxter and Namia
were shocked. It looked like that innocent boy wasn't totally lost
forever.
"Well..." Namia stuttered.
"You should probably do that mission Krew wanted you to
do."
"Yeah." And Jak left while
everyone was still speechless.
