She let out a cackle as she literally dragged him down a hall, he couldn't help but grumble a little at her constant glee, but he would never want to diminish it. They stopped at what was clearly her door, and she fiddled with the handle and let it swing open. In one corner was a pile of ripped colourful fabric and stuffing. Karkat raised his eyebrow, although he was used to the room. They sat down on a royal blue couch, he briefly wondered if the colour tasted good, and chuckled aloud to himself, and watched her smile grow, like she saw what he was thinking.

"Uh," he paused. "Did you want to watch a shitty movie or something?" He knew that they both wouldn't pay attention to the movie in the first place.

"Sure," a familiar rasp on the end of the word. "I have Embark," a movie she knew he liked.

"Great."

She got up and set up the movie, she could only smell a little bit of detail from here but she didn't mind. As the previews ended, she leaned into the troll that currently resided on her couch and settled, poking Karkat in the ribs with her elbow once or twice, maybe purposefully. He did it in return, annoyed, but gently. The movie started. They focused on it for all of 30 minutes, before Terezi sat up and wrapped an arm around the small of his back, pressing those dark lips to the corner of his, and felt him smile slightly. When she pulled away, looking up at him with those beautifully blank red eyes, he returned the kiss, full on the lips and they tried to fall backwards but the couch was small and they were tangled and they fell with a thud on the floor, both laughing quietly, privately and Terezi was happy that Karkat was laughing and Karkat was happy for Terezi being here and they just lied on the floor, fitting into each other all warm and slightly sleepy. He was staring at her eyelashes and he said aloud,

"I'm glad I can trust you."

"I'm glad you're happy," she murmured back.

"It won't last long." He barely noticed her frown. The music signalling the end credits of the movie playing in the background. He let go of anything except Terezi and felt her relax slightly as she drifted off to sleep, and he did the same.

Finally.
