Dizzy
Cloud grasped her hand tightly so she wouldn't fall.
Spinning
He slid his arm around her waist and squeezed her side lightly.
Twirling
"I won't let you fall," Cloud whispered into her ear. Aerith blushed as he spun her around. He pulled her back in tightly. "I can't believe no one's ever danced with you," he responded quietly.
"Do you know, I don't think I've ever danced with anyone," Aerith had said randomly to Tifa one morning. Cloud and Vincent had been talking, but had stopped to listen in on what Aerith was telling them.
"You mean," Yuffie started, "no one's ever swept you off your feet and twirled you around?" she asked dancing in a circle.
"Nope," she responded. "At this point, I just am worried that I will trip over my own feet and fall," she laughed. Yuffie pretended to trip and the three girls laughed.
"I still don't understand women," Vincent said.
"Who does?" Cloud responded.
"You're very graceful, Cloud," she said. He spun her around.
"I've practiced," he said quietly, twirling her into his chest and wrapping his arms around her. "And you thought you'd be clumsy." He laughed. He slid his hand down her arm and twirled her back out. She shivered from his sensual touch. Moonlight shone on the ground and Aerith smiled at the pure cliché of it all.
"Well, I've got a good partner," she said resting her head on her shoulder.
"You're plotting something," Tifa accused
"What?" Cloud answered innocently.
"You and your Mako eyes are giving everything away. Don't be out too late," she waved him off, as she went off to sleep. He grinned. He was going to give Aerith the dance of her life. He had always been good at dancing. It was a strange talent that he didn't usually tell people about.
She lifted her head off her shoulder.
"I love that there's no music," she said poking fun.
"It was last minute. Besides, you don't need music to dance, we're doing just fine." He said.
Cloud had woken Aerith up from a deep sleep that night.
"What could you possibly want at this hour?" she asked him groggily.
"C'mon, you'll see," he said dragging her out of bed. She smiled when he led her outside and grabbed her hand and waist.
"I won't let you fall," he whispered.
He dipped her and brushed his nose against hers. He kissed her lips lightly. She wasn't surprised given the situation, but she still wasn't expecting the pressure of his lips against her own. It was peaceful and quick, but she loved every minute of it. He pulled her back up.
"Thank you Cloud," she smiled. "Who knew you could be so sweet?" she teased. They both laughed. "I'm really glad we danced," she said.
"Me too, save the next one for me too, ok?"
"Ok," she smiled kissing him one last time.
Cloud awoke remembering the feel of Aerith's lips against his. He looked out at the moon and hoped she had never forgotten that one peaceful night and that she never forgot how much he loved her.
Tada! i hope you enjoyed my cute idea!
