A Young Tragedy
AN: So in English we had to write a short story, type thing, so I wrote this, and thought hmm, this could be a good one-shot. So I decided, what the heck, might aas well, so I posted it.
This can be a one-shot or a prologue to an actual story, so it depends on the reaction. It's basically an AU about young Kimberly, that's it really.
Disclaimer: Me no ownie anything.
Darkness fell, creeping silently upon the unsuspecting light, throwing everything into shadows. A full moon hung suspended in the air, like a big, all-knowing eye, looking down on the sleeping town. Only one child, a girl as innocent as any, lay tossing and turning in her bed. She woke up, startled, hearing a noise coming from outside her window. She shuddered, the sound sounded as if something was dragging claws down the glass. As the young girl, Kimberly, walked over to investigate the strange sounds coming from across her room. She looked out the window, nothing was there, as she started turning to go back to bed, something flickered in her peripheral vision. Kimberly shot back against the window, pressing her face against the cool glass. She squinted into the darkness, a light was flickering across the street. She looked harder, the streetlamp illuminated the sign it was standing next to. Angel Grove Graveyard read to big, stone sign. Young Kimberly knew, just like anyone else, never to go by, let alone into, a darkened graveyard. Everyone knew that all the bad things come out at night. Yet Kimberly paid the warnings, that had be drilled into her head, no heed; she climbed out the window and started across the street towards the graveyard. It was if she was in a trance, slowly walking to the entrance of the graveyard, step by step. It seemed to take hours in young Kimberly's mind, crossing the street, she looked back to her house. Kimberly gasped, she could no longer see it through the dark. She gulped, having second thoughts, it was to late, she was at the entrance. A bone hand shot out through the iron gate that blocked the entrance, grabbing the young girl and dragging her back into the graveyard.
The next day, police cars were seen in front of the young girl's house. They stayed their for seven days and seven nights before swiftly leaving, declaring the case a lost cause. Young Kimberly wasn't seen again.
Feedback would be nice. Tell me if you want me to continue or if I should leave it as a one-shot.
Thanks
