"Walker, where are you?" Link called out again, trying to contain his anger. Allen had been slipping his supervision more and more lately, usually popping up a couple hours later as if nothing had happened. The inspector was determined to figure out what the teen was up to.
While he was annoyed, Link didn't want to report the behavior just yet. The disappearances alone weren't enough to make him suspicious. Allen was mature for his age, but a teenager was still a teenager. It was still just as possible that he just wanted time to himself. Although, if that was so, he was going about it in a very juvenile way.
Entering the outside sitting room, he heard scrambling in the bedroom. "Walker?" he called again, opening the door.
The bookman boy. He looked like he'd just thrown himself together, and was grinning sheepishly. "What are you doing here, Junior?"
"Looking for Allen, same as you," was the innocent reply, and the smile with the response probably would've fooled anyone else into believing the response was the truth. Allen was in this room, Link knew that aura anywhere, it was just a question of where. And how, because there was nowhere anyone-
Allen had extraordinary flexibility. He'd unwittingly shown it off once or twice, not realizing he was doing something not many could, or when he'd practice his balance on one of the large, colorful balls he kept in the room. "Where is he, Junior?"
"I wouldn't be looking for him if I knew where he was, would I?" the redhead countered.
"You're not looking for him, you're hiding him, and I demand to know why."
"I don't know what you're on about, Two-Spot."
This kid was a very convincing liar, didn't flinch once. Good to know. "I am very familiar with Allen's presence at this point, I know when he's around, and-"
There were two loud bangs from the inside of one large drawers on the wall. Immediately, the bookman opened one, features etched in concern. Allen's head popped out of it, gasping for air. "You okay?"
"Y-Yeah," was the sheepish return. "I swear, Lavi, I used to be able to do that a lot longer," the white-haired teen replied as the other helped ease him out of the folded-over position and back onto the floor. In his underwear.
"I'm still not sure I want to know how you knew you could fit in there."
"Admittedly, it wasn't a well as I thought… Link, where are you going?"
"Junior's barely put together, you're in your underwear, and you both clearly didn't want me to find you together. The next time you want to get laid, Allen, just say so."
"W-Wait, are you going to tell-?"
"I'm not telling anyone. I don't really care," the blond replied on his way out the door. "In fact, I'm relieved."
"Relieved?"
"It's about time you were fucked by someone other than Fate," was the chuckled reply at the bright color his charge's face was turning. The redhead couldn't seem to stop laughing.
With that, Link left, smirking. Despite popular belief, he had plenty of work to do that had nothing to do with Allen Walker.
