Johan07: After watching Episode 13 of Persona 4: The Animation, I decided to do a little one-shot about Naoto and Nanako. Their little encounter at the summer festival was cute. Hope you guys don't mind.

Summary: Naoto makes a surprising appearance at the summer festival and meets up with Nanako (aka Magical Detective Loveline) at the fairgrounds, in hopes to cheer her up. Can the Detective Prince do it? Stay tune and find out. Set during episode 13. Friendship one-shot.

The Detective Prince Meets The Magical Detective Loveline

The Fairgrounds

Dad…

Big… bro…

She was all alone,

All… alone… at the summer festival...

First, her dad broke her promise, and now her big brother was nowhere around to comfort her.

This was the worst.

Maybe… she should just drop everything and go home already.

Forget about the festival,

Forget about her dad's promise,

Forget about being a pretend detective,

And most of all,

Forget about her big brother.

If she can't crack the mystery behind his strange behavior, what was the point in continuing?

And to think she was Magical Detective Loveline.

What a childish thought.

Nanako slowly got up from her seat and walked off, without any knowledge that she was leaving behind her trusty magnifying glass/wand on the bench and the fact that someone was watching her back very closely.

"Loveline!"

Stopping in her tracks, the little investigator turned her head where she sees the one person she was least expecting to come across.

Naoto Shirogane.

"What's wrong?" The ace detective asked while holding the little girl's magnifying glass/wand within her grasp.

Nanako made a sad face.

The young sleuth was starting to regret her mistake.

Of course something was bugging the little girl.

It doesn't take a genius to know that.

In order to give her fellow detective some kind of morale support, Naoto changed up her approach. "The case will never close if the detective gives up."

"Huh?" A spark of interest suddenly caught Nanako's attention.

"So don't drop the case until it's over."

"I can't give up?" Soon a small amount of confidence resurfaced within Nanako.

A warm smile made its way onto the Detective Prince's face. "I'll let you conduct the investigation!" She encouraged.

"Okay!" The little private eye smiled.

Without warning, the Magical Detective Loveline look-alike gave the Detective Prince a quick hug, as a "thank you" before dashing off into the festival.

Seeing that her fellow detective has regained her passion and determination, Naoto couldn't help, but smile at Nanako's retreating form.

A/N: Yup, the hug scene was just an extra bonus from me to you. I hope you guys like it. Naoto and Nanako's interaction in episode 13 was really cute, but kind of short. Anyway, I did this one-shot because of you guys. Please R & R! Thank you!
