What if the yoyo didn't fall?

Marinette was flying in mid-air; this yoyo thingy was hard to get control of. She was still screaming when she landed on someone, her yoyo tangled around her and the new person. Now they were swinging around like a pendulum.

"Oh hey there, nice of you to drop in," her fellow superhero greeted her. She was too dizzy to make out his features.

"Uh…I am sorry, I didn't do it on purpose," Marinette told him. Somehow they got themselves untangled and he was now standing face to face with her.

"I bet you are the partner my kwami told me about," he was saying, "I am….Chat noir! Yeah Chat noir, and you?"

"I am Ma..ar..ma," she pulled on her yoyo which was still tied to her partner's baton. Thankfully it came undone without any hesitation and it neatly made its way back to her outstretched hands. Phew…it could have landed on one of them.

"I am Marinette," she finished; she was still in a daze from that crash earlier. She put her hand on her waist and grinned at him.

"Wait….that is a real name," the black suited super hero pointed out, "Did you just reveal your identity? Isn't that something you are not supposed to do?"

Marinette realized her mistake a little too late, she was panicking inside now. Why did she have to be so stupid? Why was she so clumsy, even with her tongue? She was always causing trouble and messing things up.

"I am so clumsy," she sighed, she was already low on the super heroine chart. She shouldn't have taken this responsibility.

"No sweat Marinette," Chat noir smiled at her, "I promise that I will take this secret to my grave."

Marinette stared at him for a while too long.

He looked away rubbing his neck, "I guess that we should go save Paris now."

He was pointing out to the falling building.

He pushed himself up with his baton. Marinette looked at her yoyo.

"Trust yourself, trust yourself," she told herself loudly and threw her yoyo in the air.

Adrien walked into the classroom, he was so happy that his father let him attend the school. He entered the classroom. He smiled when he saw Nino, who waved at him. He nodded a reply and made his way up. Just before sitting he waved at the bluenette with an uncertain smile. She turned her head away. He sat down in dismay, he really did want to make up for the mistake he had done yesterday.

"Dude you wanna make friends right?" Nino asked him, "Go talk to Marinette, you know, about the chewing gum."

Adrien just heard one word, "Talk to…who?"

"Marinette, that is the name of the girl who got angry at you yesterday," Nino explained.

Wasn't that also the name of his partner…
