Written from the viewpoint of The Mother of All. A description of Purgatory.
Purgatory. A black, endless, terrifying pit of blood, darkness and gore. Cold. Unfriendly. Filled with my children who are so mad to have died, so they take it out on one another, scratching and biting. We can't exactly die again, so the fights stretch on into eternity. And I have to sit through it all, knowing that this isn't how it should be. Almost every son or daughter of mine passing through here was slaughtered by a hunter.
It's not a nice place. If you were trapped there, you wouldn't like it either. Trust me. Actually, you probably shouldn't. No, I'm not very trustworthy. And after all those years in Purgatory, I'm fucking mad too. Mad enough to attempt mass genocide of the humans? You better believe it.
When I saw that gate open, when I knew I was getting the hell out of there, that I could fix the world again, I was ecstatic.
So I'm taking my time. I'm starting off slow, working my way up to the grand finale. But when I get there, when I show my face, my madness, when I finally unleash my evil on the Earth…
You'd better RUN.
