So guys this is just a quick "fluffy" one shot. I've written this simply to try and lighten my mood as I'm feeling rubbish...so hope you like it! :)

After returning home after a gruelling twelve hour shift, Dylan slammed the door shut. The constant minor cases and time wasters had put Dylan in a foul mood but as soon as he stepped foot in his house his bad mood had lifted. He took off his jacket and kicked off his shoes. Yawning slightly, Dylan smiled as he heard the patter of feet and laughter coming from upstairs.

"Come back here madam!" Sam shouted as she chased her young daughter around in the bedrooms upstairs.

"You cant catch me mummy!" The little girl replied as she hid behind her bedroom door. As Sam entered the room she jumped out which made Sam scream.

Dylan chuckled to himself hearing his two favourite girls laugh. He loved them to bits. Who would have thought that Dylan and Sam would have gotten back together after all they had been through?

"I think your dad's home." Sam's muffled voice could be heard from downstairs. All of a sudden, Dylan heard little feet hurtling down the stairs.

"Daddy!" The little girl screamed as she made her way down the stairs. As soon as she got to the bottom she ran over to Dylan. He picked up his daughter and stroked her long blonde hair. He then kissed the side of her face.

"Hello sweetheart." He whispered as he held her close.

Taking a look at the little girl in his arms Dylan realised that she was the spitting image of her mother which was one of the many reasons why he loved her. She was cheeky, loveable and bright; just like his Samantha. For he had high hopes for his little girl.

Dylan remembered when she told him she wanted to be a doctor just like her parents, even only being four years of age. Many a night she would sit and play with her mother's yellow stethoscope and pretend to treat her favourite teddy bear (named Tom funnily enough) for a sore tummy or a broken leg.

Sam soon joined Dylan and their daughter at the bottom of the stairs. She exchanged an affectionate kiss with him. He took a look at his gorgeous wife before saying something to her that made her heart flutter.

"I couldn't be happier right now."
