PROLOGUE

Petrichor. The smell of dirt after rain. Peggy steps over a rather large pool of rainwater outside her new school she would have to attend for the next year. SHIELD High, the only high school Peggy's aunt would approve that was in Brooklyn. Peggy, however, didn't approve. She would much rather be in London with her father where he had taught her since she was a young girl. Peggy didn't make a fuss, because she knew her aunt would say something like, "Be grateful you aren't in the foster system," because she enjoyed bringing up the fact she was Peggy's only living relative. Peggy inhaled deeply, running a hand over the leather satchel that once belonged to her dad. The smell of dirt after rain. Petrichor. She recited the word, going over its spelling as she entered the doors of her new school. P-E-T-R-I-C-H-O-R. Petrichor.

Yes I know this is rather short. It's only the prologue, and it's mainly just to introduce you to Peggy's background and give you some inciting on her. If you don't quite understand her past, don't fear because she'll explain it in a future chapter to STEVE. (Yes. His debut will be in the next chapter.) I try to use six spaces for indent for the paragraph but when I clicked save it went away? Anyway, that's enough of me. I do have the first part of the first chapter finished.

Leave a review; tell me if you like it? Should I actually do this? Because I've tried doing a school AU and I almost murdered somebody.
