I Chose Rapture

"No Gods or Kings. Only Man."

Andrew Ryan

No Gods or Kings. Only Man. This is the foundation of Rapture. Man not bound by the morals of the weak minded or fumbling bureaucrats so convinced of their own superiority. It was to be home to the greatest of the modern world. All cooperate together as they each pull the great chain, progress unhindered, the great not confined by the small. It was my dream, my life's work and greatest achievement.

I watched as what was my Eden as it slipped through my fingers.

Lost to human weakness, the ADAM corrupted all it touched. The brilliant fell prey to Sloth and Greed, while parasites like Fontaine and his ilk fed on their weakness, fuelling it for their own gain.

Even now they are rioting in the streets, feeding fuel to the fire. I am surrounded by spies and betrayers; they would corrupt paradise for a few dollars. It does not matter; let the traitors have their 30 pieces of silver. They will get what they deserve eventually.

Rapture is dying around me; my dream is dying with it.

If my dream must die, then so shall the parasites. If the ship must go down, then the rats shall not swim to safety. They chose Rapture, they chose to live with it, so now they shall die with it.

"We all make choices. But in the end, our choices make us."
