The Real Ginny Weasley… by HPFangirl71

Ginny Weasley had wooed Draco Malfoy with the sole intention of getting close to Voldemort through Draco's family connections. Draco had bought her story upon Harry's sudden disappearance with Ron and Hermione. She had gone into this plan with only the best of intentions. Lately though, Ginny knew that she had lost all those good intentions. She had become the very monster she had vowed to stop, because somewhere along the way, she had fallen in love with that very monster.

In the process of trying to kill that monster, she had become one herself. She was now as adept at the Cruciatus curse as she was the Bat Bogey Hex. She felt a sense of power when lording her pureblood status over those inferior to herself. She now felt that sense of entitlement that Draco had often portrayed in his haughty attitude. She felt he was a kindred spirit, having been pushed aside by their loved ones. He had been pushed aside by his unloving parents and her by a man who had once claimed to love her.

Draco loved her, this she knew to be true for he had offered to switch sides for her. Now that offer was no longer necessary. That girl who had gone by the name of Ginny Weasley was no more… With her marriage to him, a new and drastically improved Ginny Malfoy had taken over. Ginny was now a true Malfoy, through her and Draco, their two powerful pureblood families had been united. Her parents had been disappointed in her choice but it was hers to make.

Hogwarts was in full battle mode, with Voldemort just outside demanding Harry's life. Several death eaters had infiltrated the castle, Ginny and Draco amongst the many. Ginny's eyes glimmered with crazy delight as she fought valiantly beside her husband for their cause. She had seen the disappointment in Harry's eyes when he had seen her attacking their former classmates. She had laughed at his show of weakness and then she had pointed her wand straight at him. Harry had barely protected himself with a spell of Protego.

Ginny was no longer the little girl who pined for the love of the hero. She was no longer the overshadowed, overprotected, and underestimated princess of an impoverished family. Ginny was a strong, competent woman who could make her own choices. Ginny was happy with her new choices, she would gladly die beside Draco and his family. A darker side of her had erupted from within. It had been ignited by the heat of her love for Draco and fanned by the passionate desires she had hidden deeply inside. Finally, she had been set free and this evil Ginny she had become was the real and true Ginny Weasley…
