A Monster of a Poem
I make you laugh, make you smile,
And I am be humble all the while;
I'm cheerful all the time so you have fun.
Slaying monsters, bah! Who cares
When I am selling wares
That are jokes and clues while you are on the run?
We were threatened by a dragon
And a meal that wasn't happ'nin',
But I am entertainment all the time.
Even now I perform
In this poetic form
In which every other line has a rhyme.
I help you, ma'am, with pond'rings
And occasional wand'rings
That always lead the way on your quest,
But, despite such delights,
You are always starting fights
Between me and you and the rest.
Still, I cannot help but think,
Without your cup of life from which to drink,
Life would be something I would rue
For it's so fun to answer,
When it's you who is the asker,
"Ah, sore wa himitsu desu!"
Yeah, the meter's pretty much nonexistent, but it can be sung, it rhymes, and it's such fun!
