A Bloody Fucking Cat.
- McKinnon, we've been here for eight hours. We'll try again tomorrow.
- Shut up, Black. I almost got it last time.
Sirius sighed, leaning his head on the wall of the Room of Requirement. His girlfriend had asked him to teach her how to become an animagus a few days ago. He initially was a little reluctant to help her. But after being threatened to stay a month without physical contact, he quickly changed his mind.
It was the third night in a row that she tried to turn. If she were any other ordinary person, she of would have given up on the first day. But she was not just anyone. She was Marlene McKinnon. The girl who did not take shit, the specialist in breaking hearts and trampling them with high heels. The girl who never gave up a challenge and would travel the world to prove that she was right. And she always was.
- It's almost two in the morning! We'll try again tomorrow.
- Feel free to leave whenever you want, Black, but do not forget the consequences.
He then stood up and walked toward her, holding her arm. She stared at him defiantly and raised an eyebrow.
- Okay. You're doing it wrong. Don't think too much. Just empty your mind and it'll come naturally. - Said seriously.
- Probably why it was so easy for you. Didn't required thinking.
- Shut up, asshole.
She laughed making him smile slightly. This was the effect she had on him. Actually, this was how their relationship worked. Insults, mostly. They were not that type of couple who made vows of love or were considered adorable. Their relationship was unique and that was the interesting part of it.
Marlene then sobered and closed her eyes, concentrating. A thousand thoughts went through her mind, but she managed to vanish them all, leaving a clean mind. All she focused on was her breathing.
She then felt something changing, but refused to open her eyes, afraid to lose concentration. Her arms and legs began to ache and she felt she was losing height. Her hearing became much more effective and her nose too. For some reason, she wanted some fish to eat. And Marlene hated fish.
When she thought it was safe, she opened her eyes. The first thing Marlene saw was Sirius' feet. She looked up and saw his face of disbelief.
Marlene tried to ask what was wrong, but everything that came out of her mouth was a meow.
Sirius seemed to wake up with that noise and stared at the blonde brown-eyed cat.
- Of course you're a fucking cat, McKinnon. With thousands of possibilities of animals, you turn into a bloody cat. I, Sirius Black, a dog, am dating a cat. Ironic, don't you think?
She then turned back, smiling, and hugged his waist. Her eyes were never before so bright and cheerful.
- Look at the bright side, Black.
- Victory sex?
- Victory sex.
