A/N: I was supposed to be writing a gothic poem for a display in English, but I couldn't get the Harry/Ginny pairing out of my head, so I wrote this instead (still got full marks, cuz of the death and Destiny and Fate screwing with each other, YAY! English bites) Oh, I don't own Harry Potter!

The Girl He Loved

He stood there, waiting

Wanting

Needing

Her

She with her vibrant red hair,

Oh, how he loved her so, but it could not be,

Destiny yet again cost him something he loved.

She did not die, but she was hurt, emotionally.

But he did it because he loved her, because if something happened

To her, to his light, to his love, he would have lost the last

Undamaged part of himself, and Fate would have killed him before Destiny could roll the dice.

When it was over, when the battle was lost and won,

When Destiny's business with him was done, he was so surprised,

But so completely and utterly happy,

When she said just three words to him,

She was still there after what he put her through,

After it all, the deaths, the defeats, the humiliations, she loved him

Even though her brother had died protecting him,

Even after countless died for him for no other reason than that they were asked to.

She was still there.

And Fate filled the Hole that Destiny had opened
