Something Different
Out of all the years Pitch has been around, he has heard the same thing over and over again from a child. 'I'm afraid the boogeyman will come.' Despite the recognition he was always saddened a bit by the response from their parents. 'The boogeyman doesn't exist.'
All over the world he traveled and all over the world he heard the same conversation.
Tonight he was hiding under a bunk bed. With a girl on the bottom and a boy on the top. The girl seemed around five years old and the boy was around twelve. Pitch decided they where perfect scaring materiel. He was about to scare them when all the sudden the girl spoke up. "Hey Sammy?"
"What is it?" the boy asked sleepily.
"I'm scared that the boogeyman will come." The girl admitted quietly.
Pitch's smirk turned into a small frown. He was going to have to sit through another conversation on how he didn't exist.
The boy spoke up again. "Don't worry Jess. If the boogeyman comes, I'll kick his ass."
'Well. . . That's different.'
