Alright. I did this when it was really late. Please don't comment if you don't like it. I love comments, but I hate flames. Thank you for all of my readers!
9/11 Resolutions.
Greg Sanders took a trip to New York City.
Greg watched in shock as the towers were struck.
Greg watched in terror as smoke filled the sky.
"What am I doing with my life?" A DNA Teck.? That doesn't bring peace. But being a CSI will." Was one decision he made.
"Life is short. Death comes to quickly. I love her and I need to tell her or one day I may not be able to." was the other.
He wrote those two promises on his refrigerator door.
Greg worked his hardest and became a great CSI. He put scum in jail and saved lives.
He crossed out the first promise and stared nervously at the second.
"One down, one to go" he mumbled to himself.
He picked up the phone and dialed her #.
"Hello?" came her sweet voice.
"Hey." He said lying down on his bed.
"Greg? Are you aware of how early it is?" She asked shocked. Greg shot up.
"I'm sorry! Did I wake you?" He asked concerned.
"No. I was just reading." She said. Greg sighed in relief and lied back down
"Watcha reading?" He asked.
"Sherlock Holmes." He could practically hear the smile in her voice.
"What would make you read that hmm? You weren't thinking about me now were you? Dr. Watson?" He teased.
"Now why would you think that, Dr. Holmes?" She joked back. Greg Laughed.
It grew silent. Greg closed his eyes relaxing in the comfortable silence.
"Greg?" She asked breaking it.
"Hmm?" He replied.
"What is the real reason that you called?" She asked.
Greg sat up, rested his head on the headboard of his bed, sighed and took a deep breath.
"I have to tell you something. You may hate me but I have to tell you. You have been my best friend, my Dr. Watson. So I can't keep this from you any longer." He chose his words carefully and slowly.
"Greg, I could never hate you! You can tell me anything! You're my best friend too, my Sherlock Holmes." she said sounding more alert. Greg smiled at her words.
"I know but that's why this is hard. Please promise you won't hate me!" Greg pleaded
"What are you saying Greg?" She sounded worried.
"Promise me!" He demanded.
"I promise. Of course I could never, never hate you!" She insisted. Greg took a deep breath.
"I…I love you." He finally said.
"I love you too." She said.
"No! You don't get it! I'm IN love with you!" He repeated. There was a very long silence and Greg was about to hang up and kill himself (not literally!).
"I love you too." She said quietly sounding like she was crying. (Of happiness)
"Really?" He asked in disbelief.
"Really!" She echoed with a laugh.
Greg smiled so big.
"Thank you!" he said.
"No, thank you!" She said then yawned.
"Hey, I'll talk to you tomorrow. It's really early and I am pretty tired." He said.
"I'll see you tomorrow. Good Night Greggo." She said tired.
Good night Sara."
