They say the worst thing about a war is that you can never tell what is really right or wrong.

We make decisions, each time creating unimaginable outcomes.

No matter how things go, we have to live with the consequences.

The Reapers are coming, and they're tearing through everything that stands in their way.

At this point, anything is possible.

Kill one species to save another? Leave a friend behind so a squad can survive?

Genocide is just another option, and it makes us no different from Reapers.

But that's what it's going to take if we want to survive...

Editor's note: My first drabble, focusing on one of my favorite games of all time, Mass Effect. ^_^

I've played through all of them, and while I achieved Perfect Ending almost every time I played, I still considered the possibility that if this whole 'Immortal aliens invading the galaxy' setting really happened, a lot will die, and even Shepard's best cannot save them all. There will be no perfect ending, not everybody will survive, and choices that could decide fates of species can and will happen. Shepard may be a legend, but he's not god. (Well, except in the Control Ending, BTW Sorry for spoilers...)
