Her Bloodstains
Her bloodstains on my hands
are what you'll always see.
Whenever you look at my face
you'll always hear her scream.
I could say I didn't know,
and it wouldn't be a lie.
But you'll never accept it
even if I try.
I know that it's over.
I know that you're too far gone.
Her death overshadows
our everlasting bond.
What happened to the girl I knew,
the one so bold so strong?
She's gone and I can tell
she'll never come along.
So I'll pack my things and leave this place
with my heart and my soul dry.
I know it's what you need
even if it makes me cry.
My ignorance in this whole scheme
you'll never understand.
No matter what I do or say
you'll see her bloodstains on my hands.
