Quikil: This meaningless little 345-word drabble came into my head the other night (a really long time ago) and demanded to be written. It's in Harry's POV, talking about the universe's favorite couple (obviously before Book 7). Read, Enjoy, and REVIEW, for my ego's sake!
They're Perfect for Each Other
They're perfect for each other.
They always have been. And probably always will be. Inseparable, those two; like those handcuffs the Muggles with the squinty eyes make. Damn near impossible to break, just like how they are together. Nope, you can't destroy their relationship, no matter how hard you, me, or they try. Nope. No doubt about that one. They're perfect for each other, and there sure as hell isn't any doubt about that either.
But you know, the funny thing is, they doubt it. They think the idea is ridiculous. Stupid. Unimaginable. Unthinkable. Utter complete rubbish. In fact, every time I or someone else brings it up, they look at us like we're the result of a midnight rendezvous between Fluffy and Goyle, and laugh like it's the craziest thing they've ever heard. But the look they give us- it's as if they're disgusted that we could ever think of something like that. And usually, they deny it so much that anyone trying to convince them will just give up on trying to force them to the conclusion that it is true. For some reason, they just can't understand the facts: that they're perfect for each other, and that they, rather simply put by Ginny, "just hadn't opened their bloody eyes to see it yet."
And you know, sometimes they fight and yell and argue and bicker so much and so often and so loudly that even I wonder how two people who seem to hate each other so much that they can't stand to be in each other's company could possibly love each other so much without realizing a damn thing.
They're perfect for each other. But you know what the even funnier thing is? I can actually see why they can't see it. I can understand why they don't understand it. I can believe the reasons they give me for why they refuse to believe it. They're perfect for each other, but at the same time, they have absolutely nothing in common.
But, you know, whatever. That's just Hermione and Ron.
