Teddy was never very keen on losing Billy out of sight, every time he'd freak out. There was always the possibility that he'd got hurt, and knowing Billy that wouldn't stop him. He was Billy after all. So there he was, anxiously staring at the TV screen in front of him, seeing what was happening on screen, but it didn't register.
Last time they tried to take out one of the Zodiac it hadn't been too much of a hassle, but that was with the entire team. Now it was just Billy and Tommy. TOMMY of all people. Teddy himself would heal from almost any wound, at least he thought he would, so he was always there to protect Billy from harm. Even if that did mean being ignored for a day or two by his boyfriend because he had hurt his masculinity. Or something.
But that wasn't the point. Billy and his brother were out there, fighting bad guys, DANGEROUS bad guys, and there Teddy was, sitting on the couch and doing nothing about it. Fuck Kate for making him stay and guard the mansion when Billy was out there getting his ass kicked. Not that he wasn't capable of defending himself, he was actually more than capable, but that didn't soothe the blonde's anxiety.
After waiting for what seemed hours he finally heard the door open and slam closed with a second interval. He forced himself not to jump over the couch and maybe pounce on Billy like a mother hen would. He overheard them talking, mostly Tommy exaggerating whatever he had done to stop the Zodiac and patiently, well somewhat patiently, waited for them.
Tommy all but whizzed into the living room, giving him a quick 'hi' before he was gone again. Shortly after he had left Billy walked into the room, seemingly exhausted. He walked up to the couch, let himself fall down next to Teddy and curled up to him, burying his face in the taller boy's shoulder. Teddy wrapped an arm around his shoulders and kept quiet, pretending to be watching TV. After a few minutes of Billy laying limp against his side the boy began to stir, pulling at Teddy's wrist and stared at his fingers. "You seriously should stop worrying about me." He said after a couple of seconds of studying Teddy's hand, he pressed his lips to the knuckles and dropped the hand again. "Just a couple bruises, I can take care of myself." he smiled up at the blonde before shifting into a comfortable position once more, eyes falling closed.
"I know." Teddy whispered. "I just can't help it." he reached up to ruffle the black mop of tousled hair and hugged Billy against his side. A small smile tugged at his lips once he noticed Billy had fallen asleep on his shoulder.
