A/N: This is set in Season 7 after Ziva is rescued. The song mentioned is "Spanish Train," by Chris De Burgh. I listened to it when I was about five, which probably was not the best thing to do, because it seriously scared me. It still does, kinda...

It had been a month since she had been rescued from Somalia, and Ziva had been given a lot to think about. She looked around the bullpen and found only Tony at his desk. McGee was in the lab with Abby and Gibbs was checking in with Ducky in Autopsy. "Do you believe in Heaven and Hell, Tony? Or God and the Devil?" she asked.
"I do," he answered, trying to understand her reasons for asking such a personal question. It was as though she was wondering where she would end up when her time came.
"How do you think they decide who goes where? How many times do you have to sin before you go to Hell?" she continued. She tried to count all of the people she'd assassinated, but lost count.
Tony realised that she believed she was going to Hell. "You're not going to Hell, Ziva," assured Tony. He gave her a strange, sympathetic look and walked over to kneel next to her.
"Do you know how many people I have killed, Tony? I killed my brother, for crying out loud," she sighed. She turned to look at his face.
"Everything you've done, Ziva, it was either because Eli David gave you no choice, or because it was to save many other people," he explained, putting a hand on her shoulder. "There was a song when I was a kid. It scared the crap out of me," he laughed at himself. "It still does."
"What is it about?" Ziva demanded to know how this related to their conversation.
"It's about this Spanish train where all the souls of dead people go. A man was dying and the Devil and God both turned up to claim him, and then they started betting for the souls on the train. God played fair, but the Devil cheated and won," Tony told her. "I used to have nightmares about the train."
"So you think that they gamble for our souls?" Ziva asked, confused. She could actually picture God and the Devil playing cards on a train, and it scared her. "I can see why it gave you nightmares."
"I don't know if they do that, Ziva. But if that is what they do, God will go out of his way to beat the Devil for you," promised Tony. He kissed her hair as he stood up. "You're not going to Hell," he repeated.
Hope it was OK!
