I only wish I owned Donghae and Eunhyuk. If I did own them, I definitely wouldn't be on my iPad, writing stories about them.

"Donghae!" TAP! TAP!
Donghae slowly woke up, looking around to see where the noise was coming from. He sat up when he saw his best friend, Eunhyuk, sitting outside his window. He quickly jumped up and opened the window. "Eunhyuk! What are you doing out there? Come inside before you get hurt."
Eunhyuk shook his head. "I can't stay long." he said. "I wanted you to have this though." He thrust out a small brown notebook.
Donghae recognized it immediately. It was Eunhyuk's journal. "Your journal? Why?" he asked.
"I don't need it anymore."
Donghae hesitated, then reached out and took the notebook from Eunhyuk. Why was he getting the feeling that he wasn't going to see Eunhyuk again? "Thanks. Are you sure you don't want to come inside?"
"I told you I can't stay." Eunhyuk replied. "I've got to go."
"Oh." Donghae looked at the notebook he held, then looked back up and frowned. Eunhyuk had vanished. He stuck his head out the window and looked around, but couldn't see the other boy. Where had he gone off to so quickly?
The ringing of his phone made him withdraw back into his room. He walked over to his bed and sat down on it, picking his phone up. "Hello?" he said into it.
"Donghae?"
"Hi, Mrs. Lee." Donghae said. "How are you doing?"
She ignored the question. "I'm sorry I'm calling you so late."
Donghae frowned. "What do you mean?"
"Well, surely you've heard already."
"Heard what?"
There was a pause on the other end of the phone. "You really don't know?" Mrs. Lee asked.
"Know what?" Donghae asked her.
She took a deep breath. "Donghae... Eunhyuk is dead."
Donghae tightened his grip on his phone. "What? What do you mean he's dead? What happened?"
"It was a couple of days ago. When you first got sick, remember?"
He remembered. Eunhyuk had practically carried Donghae to his bedroom, then put him to bed. "Yes, I remember."
"Well, he wanted to buy you something, to make you feel better, he told me. He never made it though. He got hit by a truck and died instantly."
Donghae looked down at the notebook in his hand. Eunhyuk couldn't be dead, he'd just been here. But he knew Mrs. Lee would never joke about something so serious. "I... think I'm going to have to call you back, Mrs. Lee."
"Of course. I'm sorry I sprung it on you like this. Call me if you need anything, Donghae."
"Alright, thank you." Donghae shut his phone, placing it on the bed beside him as he started to cry softly.

I was watching Han Geng's music videos 'Fire, Say No, Holding An Umbrella, and Heartache Notebook' when I was inspired to write this one-shot. If you haven't watched the videos, you should watch them. The last two are really sad though, so if you're anything like me, you'll need a supply of tissues right next to you.
Please tell me what you think about it. Should I leave it as a one-shot? Maybe make it into a two- or three-shot?
