Hate, pride, envy, arrogance, envy. Everyone has at least one sin. Ryuk looked off into the distance, the sun disappearing in the horizon. The air was painfully cold. Every breeze felt like a slap to his face. The city looked so beautiful as it shone underneath the silver crescent moon. Ryuk wondered if the moon and the city's bright lights ever fought for which had the best luminosity. What was everyone doing on this cold crisp winter night? Was Kuroh & Kiseki together, eating dessert? Was Fushimi happy that Misaki came back to him? Ryuk smiled softly. He finally understood. He understood all of the pain and suffering his brother went through because of him. Understand why death was Roku's only option.
Ryuk was nothing but a bundle of sins. He hated the world for keeping him alive. Hated how nothing could fill his empty heart. He had too much pride to visit his brother's grave. Or was it just because he was a coward? He envied the strong, warm love that Misaki once took for granted. Ryuk's arrogance was the reason why his brother had died. And now, it was his greed that would bring his own death. Ryuk was on a fast ride to darkness. The longer he stayed on his strayed path, the more he began to lose himself. Seeing his own reflection brought great guilt that filled his soul. Was it too late to be saved? Did he want to be saved? Did Ryuk even need to be saved? All these questions and thoughts spiraled within his mind as he took his final step. The solid ground beneath him disappeared and gravity defied him. Ryuk closed his eyes and smiled.
"I'm coming Otoutou-san."
