Warnings: None yet, this is a pretty innocent chapter. So rated K for now.
Disclaimer: Seriously, I hate this. I don't own Criminal Minds or the characters involved. I'm just using them as puppets - expanding the show.
Character POV: for the most part, third person omniscient, It might fluctuate.
Inspiration: Wull, the movie Across the Universe and Criminal Minds and the actors and actresses in them.
My own following characters in this story are fictional. Any character who represents yourself or someone you may know, it's merely coincidence.
It was tradition on both ends of their friendship. Once a month they'd either go to Spencer's apartment or Raelyn's house, it was mostly Raelyn's house as there was a bigger television to watch movies on. Some nights she got to pick the movies they'd be watching and they'd most likely be comedies or horror movies. When Spencer got to pick the movies, it usually had to do with scientific aspects or action. Raelyn didn't mind one bit. She knew how her best friend was, and she accepted that completely.
It was Raelyn's night to pick a movie for their time together. She had chosen the movie Transformers. It wasn't quite her thing, but she seemed interested. Spencer, quite happy about their movie night, had already gotten the popcorn in the microwave and placed the DVD carefully into the disk tray of the player. Soon settled together on the couch, they started the movie. Raelyn had been content by Spencer Reid's side. Spencer, too, had been content. Near the middle of the movie, Raelyn had began to rest her head on Spencer's shoulder. He felt out of place in ways. He's not at all good at close contact with people but by now he thought he should be comfortable around his friend, his best friend. "I'm cold, Spencer," she shivered, scooting closer to his side and curling up. 'How much closer could she possibly get?' he wondered. As if instinct and nothing else, he draped all of the blanket over her and wrapped his arm around her. He was, relaxed…
The movie continued on as they sat there. Spencer had turned his back towards the arm of the sofa and had pulled Raelyn closer to himself to get comfortable. Raelyn's back had been against Spencer's chest. She felt his breathing slow and steady beneath her. She smiled and turned the movie off, she had known he drifted to sleep. 'Adorable' she thought to herself. She rested against him, listening to his heart beat. A fascinating thing, the heart is. This reminded her to never lose the one that she treasured most. Yes, her friendship with Spencer Reid was her most loved. She'd continue to be his friend unless he rejected her. She wanted to be his friend forever. She peered up at her best friend's sleeping figure and rested on him. Raelyn had fallen asleep on the couch with her best friend of 18 years, Spencer Reid.
I might update it. I wrote this so long ago and I haven't had the time to review it. So, I hoped you enjoyed the unedited version.
