It's amazing how much can change for a person in a short period of time. For some it could be a new car, a new job or a new house. For Temperance Brennan it was a new life. Ever since her parents left at the age of 15 she had always spent her life alone. She was bounced around from one foster home to the next, never staying long enough to gain a connection with those who she lived with. Even into adulthood she expected to live her life alone. It wasn't until she met a man by the name of Seeley Both that her life would start to change. He was a former sniper, holding heavy baggage from his childhood.

No longer being alone and finding someone to share her life with. After an eventful first meeting they didn't see each other for a year until the FBI determined that they needed her expertise as a Forensic Anthropologist to determine the identity of an individual found at the bottom of the lake at Arlington National Cemetery. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for her she was partnered with Special Agent Seeley Booth. For many years they remained partners. Bickering and spending the majority of their time together. Though they were sent curveballs along the way they managed to pull through, stronger than they were before.

When Brennan's intern Vincent Nigel-Murray was killed it was an emotional time. Once upon a time she would Ihave compartmentalised. Now she found comfort in the man who she had been through so much with throughout the course of their partnership. The beginning of something more.

About a month after that fateful day she had a confession to make to Booth.

"I'm...I'm pregnant. You're the father." She was nervous, almost hesitant when she told him. She was afraid, but unlike what she did in the past she didn't run. She stayed. Booth didn't run either. They faced what was coming towards them together. A new life. A new love.

Though their relationship dynamic had changed, they were still the same old Booth and Brennan. Always bickering and of course arguing over who was the better driver. Those things stayed the same. All that was different now is that they openly admitted to themselves and each other to that they loved each other, and of course the fact that now they were going to have a child. Someone who would depend on them at all hours of the day and night. A little person who would contain the genetic material of both of them combined. They would have a mix of their traits. The good and the bad.

For someone who had been alone for the majority of their life this was a massive change to make. To go from the thought of being forever alone to having a partner in more ways than one and having a child was one of the most daunting but ultimately the best thing that could ever happen to Temperance Brennan.

When her little girl was born it was the happiest day of her life. When she first held that baby for the very first time, emotions overthrew her. A lot of people thought of her as being a cold fish. But that was never the case. She just never showed them to others, except for her partner. With Booth she felt like she could tell him anything without worrying that he would tell a soul. Over the years he had always been there for her. He was always ready to come at her with a "guy hug" even though they secretly both knew that they were always going to be something more.

Being partnered with Seeley Booth was the best thing that could have ever happened to Temperance Brennan. She now has what she never thought she would ever have. A livelong partner and a daughter. A family of her very own.

Hey guys, this was the first thing I've ever written. I hope you can stop by and review it. I would love constructive criticism so I can learn how to improve next time. Thanks heaps for bothering to read this!
