The Intruder

A/N: This was originally written as a Spanish assignment…I have the Spanish version, and it can be posted…but for all you non-Spanish speaking people here is the English version…It's short, and I would have gotten a good grade on it…but I wrote it in the past tense, and the assignment was to write it in the present…whoops. But, hey, all student teachers deserved to be exposed to Escaflowne, don'tcha think? Well, at any rate, I swear me and Tiggy of the Wind corrupted the poor guy…*sigh* that was soo much fun…Btw this is the first ever fanfic that I wrote…surprised I still have it.

Oh, one more thing…if I really owned Esca do you think I'd be writing a fanfic for it?

Was it a dream? Or a vision? No, it was real…Dilandau was in a bad mood.

I was finishing my dinner when Dilandau barged into my quarters, "What do you think you're doing?" I yelled, surprisingly he didn't hit me…something must have been horribly wrong.

"Get out and follow me." He commanded.

I followed, we stopped a few other times to collect the other Dragonslayers. They all came with a look of puzzlement, fear, and curiosity on their faces. I felt the same way, but only one thing could make Dilandau this mad…I didn't even want to think of the possibility.

Next we entered the commons room where Dilandau turned, and faced us shaking with rage, abd the thirst for blood in his eyes. I looked around, the Dragonslayers had a blank look on their faces.

I wonder what they're thinking? Probably hoping that they weren't going to get slapped.

Dilandau had, has a bad habit of losing his temper, and slapping people, specifically one of his soldiers. I felt curious, perplexed, and terrified all at the same time.

"I suppose you're wondering why I gathered you here." He said with a unrealistic calmness to his voice. "Some one was in my room!"

I'm sure that if we were allowed to speak a gasp would have been heard.

"Was it you, Dallet?" he asked, his voice full of menace.

"No it wasn't Lord Dilandau. I swear it!" the soldier stammered.

"Quit your stuttering!" The general screamed as he struck Dallet so hard that the boy crumpled to the ground.

By now I was terrified, those hits hurt! Please don't let him hit me, please don't let him hit me.

"Did you go into my room?" His hand was poised to strike at the wrong answer.

"No," I said, "But did you think it could have been an intruder? Say Van Fanel?"

The realization hit him, of course it was the foe! Who else would do such a dastardly deed? Dilandau ran out of the room jumping over injured Dragonslayers yelling "VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNN!"

Oh shoot! I gotta warn Hitomi to warn Van!

A/N: Okay…it sounds better in Spanish…but hey whatever…did it suck? (yes?) oh well, I'll post it anyway…maybe I'll get a review for it…(pleads)…review, review, review, I don't care if it's a flame or not! Heck, I like fire….(yes I'm a self-proclaimed pyro) ^_~

Ciao!
