In an forest on a rainy night, a mysterious girl is seem making a run from something. She made a stop near a tree to catch her breath.
"I think she went there!" Just then, someone shot at the tree, nearly hitting the mysterious thing and angering another person.
"Don't shot, you idiot!" The person yelled livid at the shooter. "The boss need that her back alive! She wouldn't be worth to us dead!"
Shortly after, someone fired several shots at the girl, only for one of the bullets to hit it in her shoulder, wounding her.
"WHAT DID I JUST SAY?! DON'T SHOT THE DARN GIRL, YOU BUFFOON!"
The girl found a den and hid in it. Eventually, the people that's been shooting stopped upon the den and using their flashlights to look for her. "Where's she go?" One of the the men said.
"How would we know?" Another man said.
"Well maybe if you idiots didn't keep shooting at her, we wouldn't have lost her in the first place!"
"Whatever! Shut up and keep looking! She can't be far!"
The men continue searching for the girl. Once they left, the girl left the den and make a run for it. She ran and ran until she came upon a city where she can stay low at. When in the city, the girl looked at several houses to hide in and to get out of the rain until she spotted one with a crawlspace. She looked around first to make sure no one sees her and went into the crawlspace, where she is safe and sound. The house that she is hiding under is none other than the Loud House.
The next day, Lana is seen playing in a mud puddle. "Nothing is more satisfying than playing in the mud!"
As Lana splashes the mud all over her face, she hears Charles barking at something in the crawlspace, then walks up to him to see what is he barking at.
"Hey, boy. What's the matter?"
Charles continue barking at whatever it is in the crawlspace. Eventually, everyone else heard Charles' barking and came out to see why he is barking in the first place.
"What's wrong with Charles?" Lincoln asks.
"I don't know." Lana answers. "I was over there playing in the mud puddle over there when he suddenly starts barking at something under the crawlspace."
"Well, can you get him to stop barking?" Lola asks. "I am trying to take my beauty rest!" After Lola finish talking, another voice can be heard.
"I agree. That thing has been barking very loud and it's kinda annoying."
"Thanks for agreeing." Lola realizes something. "Wait a minute. Who said that?"
The kids looked under the crawlspace to see a pair of glowing yellow eyes staring at them. The kids except for Lucy backed away and started to scream, alarming the parents.
"Kids, what's wrong?!" Rita asks, concerned.
"What's with the screaming?" Lynn Sr. asks. "Did you see something?"
The kids doesn't response.
"Well, what is it? Why were you all screaming?"
"Because there's something under the crawlspace." Lucy replied.
The parents looked at each other kinda worried before Lynn Sr. looked under the crawlspace.
"I don't see nothing."
Lynn Sr. looked around the crawlspace to see the what's in the crawlspace until he saw the glowing yellow eyes staring right at him. Lynn Sr. starts screaming in horror after seeing the eyes and backed away in fear.
"There is something in the crawlspace!"
Rita looked under the crawlspace for herself. "Hello there. Who are you?"
"Toru. My name is Toru."
"Nice to meet you, Toru. Umm, you don't mind me asking why are you under the crawlspace?"
"Well..."
Just before giving Rita an answer, the person's stomach started growling.
"Did-did your stomach just growled?"
"Yeah... You see, i haven't ate anything ever since i...escaped."
"You poor thing. Why don't come inside so i can make you something to eat?"
"Uhh, i don't think that's a good idea."
"Why you think that?"
"It's because..."
"Because what?"
The person hesitated for a moment before saying something. "It's probably best if i show you. But please promise me you guys won't freakout when i come out."
Rita looked at her family who nodded at her to show that they promise not to freak out, then looks back at Toru. "I promise that we won't."
"Okay." Toru sighs. "Here's goes nothing."
Once Rita moved out of way, Toru crawled out of crawlspace, revealing to be the girl from last night. She has long flaming orange hair with white lines, pointy ears, and a furry tail. She is also cover with dry up mud, several bruises, and a bullet wound on her shoulder. Her clothes are torn and dirty. The family gasped in shock.
"Yeah. This is what i look at." Toru said. "You see, i am actually a..."
"A furry!" Lincoln interrupted.
"A...what?"
"A furry. It basically people who are interested in anthropomorphic animals characters with human personalities and characteristics and dress up like this. Or you could be a cosplayer. Since they dressed up as a character from movies, books, or video games."
"Wait. You think that I'm a furry or a cosplayer?"
"Well, yeah. What else would you be?"
"I was gonna say what I'm actually is, but you interrupted me."
"Sorry. Wait. So you're not a furry or a cosplayer?" Toru nods. "If you aren't one of them, then what are you? Also, what happened to your right shoulder?"
"Oh, that... I think it's best if we take this in house. Just in case if they are still looking for me."
"Who's they?" Leni asks.
"The ones who shot me. The mutant hunters."
The family looked at each other confused, wondering who is the mutant hunters are.
In the living room, Luan bandaged up Toru's shoulder as Lisa looks at an X ray images of Toru's body and sees something. "Hmmm."
"What is it, Lisa?" Lincoln asks. "What do you see?"
"I wonder. Lola, can you do me a favor and pull on Toru's ears for me?"
"With pleasure." Lola went to the back of the couch, jump on it, and begins pulling Toru's ears hard.
"Oww!" Toru howls in pain. "Don't do that! That hurt!"
"Just what i suspected." Lisa said. "This girl isn't all that human."
"What do you mean?" Lana asks.
"Isn't it obvious? Clearly this girl is some form of a abomination."
Toru gets offended by what Lisa said. "Hey! I am not a abomination! I was born like this, okay?"
"Yeah. That's what abomination means."
"You're not the friendly type, are you?"
"You have no idea." Lola answers. "But enough about her, let's learn more about you and these "mutant hunters" you were talking about."
Toru sighs. "If you really want to know everything about me and the mutant hunters, then so be it."
The family gathered around to hear Toru got to say.
"The truth is, I am part of race known as: Humlves aka Homo Canics lupus. I know, i know. It's a terrible name but no one in my race came up with the name. Though, i prefer Wolfman or Wolfgirl but i don't know. But yeah, i am basically part human and part wolf. Despite being part wolf, we are actually not all that violent. We are...well were peaceful brings living among ourselves and not bothering anyone. But all that changes when a group of people showed up."
"What happened when they showed up ?" Lincoln asks.
"They started taking footage of us. And by us i mean my family and several other packs. At first, we didn't see anything wrong about it. But the grown-ups were feeling suspicious about it. One night, i was sleeping in the den when all of a sudden we heard gunshots and chaos. I woke up and left the den to see what is going. My mother came to me and told me to run. And so i did. All i could see is fire, smoke, madness, and death. I somehow got away from all of the chaos, but i got separated from my family. I don't remember much of what happened during that whole mess apart from that or see the people who caused. I was just little when all of that went down."
"Okay, we learned a little bit about you," Lola said. "But that doesn't explain on who are these mutant hunters you were talking about earlier."
Toru's eyes darkened. "Do you really want to know about them?" Toru asked.
"Well duh! Of course i do. Pretty sure everyone else want know about them too. Right, guys?" Her family nods. "You see? Even they want to know. So, who are they?"
"Who are they? Who are they?! They are nothing more than soulless monsters! They were the reason why my race is endangered! Them and that monster of a boss they are working for! Ever since they found out about us from those people who was filming us, they have done terrible things to us. Like forcing us to do things they want and if we don't do them, they'll kill us. Granted, i was in a circus most of my life being as part of the freakshow so i didn't know what was going on with the others. At first i thought they all was dead and i was the only member of my race to survive. And my family thought i was dead too. To be frank, i kinda enjoyed working and living at the circus only because made friends there knows my pain. What it's like to feel like a outcast. I had it all until those monsters found out that i was still alive and took it away from me."
"What did they do?" Luan asked.
"They killed everyone. The ringleader, my friends, everyone! And to make matters worse, they force me to watch them kill them before knocking me out. When i woke up, i had found myself in a weird place and that weird place is a facility that held my family, some members of my race, and other human like creatures. That place was a nightmare. They torture us, use painful and awful experiments on us, they...they even took advantage of us.
Tears were streaming down Toru's face, trying to prevent herself from crying. "I'm sorry. It's hard trying not to cry. Just talking about it makes me remember what those monsters did to my mother... They came up to the area we were at, walk up to my mother, dragged her away a few feet from us, rip her clothes off, then they... they..."
Turo begins shaking and breathing violently from remembering such trauma. Rita and her husband went up to Turo to comfort her. "There, there, sweetie." Rita said. "Everything is gonna be okay."
"NO IT WON'T!" Toru shouts in anger. "It will never be okay! Not when those monsters are still out there looking for me! And not when my family is still lock in that facility getting the worst torture of their lives!"
Toru hyperventilates as the kids moved back away from her in case she snap. After seeing the kids moving away from her, she calmed herself down and let out a sigh. "I need to be alone for a while."
"If you want, you can use our bath tub for the time being." Rita suggested.
"Thanks. I needed a bath anyway."
Toru got up and slowly walked up the stairs as the family watched, feeling sorry for the wolf girl.
"That poor girl." Leni said.
"What are we gonna do?" Luan asked. "We can't just let her leave and roam around Royal Woods."
"Especially with those mutant hunters are out there looking for her." Lucy adds.
"We hear you kids," Lynn Sr. said. "But me and your mother don't know what we can do neither. So unless one of you got an idea, there's nothing we can do."
The kids begins brainstorming ideas for Toru until Lincoln came up with one. "I have a idea." Lincoln said. "It might be a one-shot, but it should work if everyone is on board with it."
"What kind of idea is it?"
"I glad you asked, Dad. Okay everyone, huddle up!"
As the family huddle up around Lincoln, he begins whispers the idea to them. Meanwhile in the bathroom, Toru is sitting in the tub, hugging her leg with the water from the shower running down her face. "I hope they are okay."
Minutes later, Toru, wearing a towel around body and another towel on her head, walks out of the bathroom and notices that everything is...quiet. "It's so quiet. Why is that? Did they leave?" Just then, Toru's stomach started to growl again. "I should worry about after i have ate something."
Toru walked down the stairs and heads to the kitchen, where the Loud family is at. "Oh. There you guys are. Listen, i want to apologize about my outburst earlier. I understand if you guys don't want me here. I wasn't really planning on staying long anyway."
"You don't have apologize, dear." Rita said. "I'm sure we would have done the same too if we were in your shoes."
"And, you don't have to leave neither!" Lana yells.
Toru is confused by what Lana said. "Huh? What do you mean?"
"What my sister mean is," Lincoln said. "Since that you is being hunted down, we all decided to let you stay with us for the time being."
"But, why? Did you guys forget about what i said? About what happened to the people at the circus?"
"Of course we didn't!" Lola said. "But we can't just have you roaming around the street of Royal Woods with those guys out there. According to what they said, i mean."
"You mean, despite knowing the consequences that could happen, you stay want me to stay?" Toru asked. The family nods, which made Toru happy.
She was so happy, she started jumping for joy. However, she forgot about the towel that was around her body which drop, leaving her exposed while the Rita and her older daughters covering the younger daughters' eyes, Lynn Sr looking away, and Lincoln covering his eyes while brushing. Toru notices this.
"What is it? Is there something on my face?"
"No." Lincoln answered. "It's not your face we're looking at, it's something else."
"Like what?" Toru looks down and blushed when realizing what it is they were looking at. She picked the towel back up and cover her body with it again. "Sorry about that. I forgot about the towel i had around me." Toru chuckles nervously.
"At least you were aware about it." Rita said. "Girls, let's take Toru upstairs to give her something to wear for now."
"And I'll get dinner ready!" Lynn Sr. said.
As everyone went to do their thing, Lincoln turns his attention to the viewers as he heads to his room. "Huh. I never thought that we would meet a wolf/human hybrid. I actually feel bad for what she went through. But as long she's with us. She won't have to deal with those bad guys anymore. I hope. But with that aside, all i want to know is how old she is."
Just then, a voice can be heard coming from the background. "By the way, how old are you?" Rita asked.
"I'm eleven years old, ma'am." Toru answered.
"Well, at least i got my answer."
