A/N: Hey all! Here's a new story from me and I'm hoping I'll be able to continue it to everyone's satisfaction. This first chapter is more of a prologue and is just supposed to introduce you to the setting and the plot. Trust me, the chapters will all be much longer after this. Hope you enjoy! :)

All throughout the bustling city of New York, it was the first day of the school year. Everywhere, kids and teens were running to and fro in their homes, searching for the perfect outfit to wear or eating breakfast and talking to friends. This frenzy of madness was no exception to the household of Perseus Jackson and his day seemed to be already filled with more excitement than the others.
"Percy! Hurry up! You still have to eat your breakfast!" called Percy's mother, Sally Jackson.
"Coming mom!" yelled the black haired and green eyed boy. He quickly glanced outside and saw his four friends waiting for him by the street. Percy flew downstairs and shoved his blue pancakes into his mouth. "Thanks! Everyone's waiting outside, wish me luck!"
"Good luck!" his mother replied amused as her son rushed out of the door.
Percy skidded to a stop outside of the house, next to his friends. One was a curly, blond haired girl named Annabeth. She was tan, athletic looking, and had gray, stormy eyes. The next person was another girl; this one named Thalia. She had black, spiky hair, blue eyes and punk-like clothing. The last girl was named Bianca and had olive toned skin along with straight black hair. Her eyes were warm amber. The last member of the group was a boy named Nico who was directly related to Bianca. He had the same olive skin and the same black hair. However, his hair was messy and his eyes were black.
You might be asking why these friends have some strange looks to them such as Annabeth's and Nico's eyes. You see, all five were demigods, each with their own godly parent. Percy's was Poseidon, Annabeth's was Athena, Thalia's was Zeus and Bianca and Nico's father was Hades. You know, the Greek gods?
The only place that was truly safe for these kids was Camp Half-Blood; a place for demigods to train and to survive. Usually, these five would not leave camp together at all but there was a disturbing report about Goode High, the place where Percy went to school. Chiron, the camp's centaur, got a call from the gods that they were unable to claim their demigods anymore and the closest area that a monster was last sighted was at Goode High. Worried, he sent the camp's top five demigods to check it out figuring that they would be able to protect themselves and the ones that they had to learn to protect.
So now, the infamous Percy Jackson had three cousins, Thalia, Nico and Bianca and one girlfriend, Annabeth who were joining him at the school of which he had managed to survive a year at and go to for a second. Truth be told, he had gotten pretty popular as the swim captain and for his looks. It was also for the fact that he was kind to everyone and protected people from bullies.
The four-turned-to-five kids laughed and joked with each other on their way to the first day of school, unwary of the two sets of eyes watching them from the alleyway besides Percy's house. As the demigods turned the corner towards the school, the two things stepped out of the shadows, proving themselves to be humans with long, black cloaks. One whipped out a cell phone and urgently talked into it, before following Percy and his friends.
