In to the Dawn…

A poem about the Titanic

The Glorious Titanic,

Large and luxurious,

To everyone,

About on the sea.

No one at all,

Gave a thought,

To what she could be,

Not even sunken, gone for eternity,

As she sailed,

Away from port,

Away from land.

She never saw land again.

What happened on that starry night?

Why didn't they think?

Not give it any more warning?

Try to save all those worth saving?

And she fell.

RMS Titanic fell from glory,

To the bottom of the sea.

Gone from me.

And all those people,

Who went to the water,

Who never saw the sun again,

Who never saw the dawn of April 15th, 1912?

And all those safe,

Who did see that sunrise?

Who waited and watched the dawn?

Did they see the ones they lost flying in to the dawn?

In to the dawn…

In to the dawn they watched,

In to the dawn they waited,

In to the dawn they flew, from their bodies, in to the dawn.
