The loathing for the other was the only thing they should have had in common. He was supposed to always hate her, she was supposed to always hate him. After all, how could a Weasley and a Malfoy ever be anything other than enemies?
He despised her bubbly and friendly disposition, her fiery hair, the traitorous blood that ran through her veins. How could he possibly keep from sneering at the patched, second-hand robes she wore? How could he not smirk as he spotted the tattered school books in her arms every day as he passed her in the corridors?
She abhorred the way he looked down on everyone, the coldness of his eyes, the insults he hurled at her. Slut, filthy blood-traitor, worthless. The way Parkinson worshiped the ground he walked upon made her want to hurl. The way the sight of him made her fingers itch for her wand made her hate herself. Why should hexing the smirk off his face justify any insults that passed through his lips?
To their faces and behind their backs, they mocked and cursed the other.

Neither is sure how it happened. Perhaps it was the multiple detentions they served together for the hexes that flew through the halls; perhaps it was the large amount of time spent thinking of the hatred for the other. All he remembers is the empty corridor as he cornered her, wand in hand and ready to curse her. She remembers lifting her face towards his and kissing him. He was intoxicating and forbidden. She was untouchable and mysterious.
They would meet secretly in the deep of the night, let their hands make the slightest brush in the halls to satisfy the irrational desire they held. Publicly, hexes still flew and insults still rang through the halls. No one would know the Slytherin Prince and the Weaslette possessed anything aside loathing and hatred for each other.

There is a fine line between hate and love, and Ginny Weasley and Draco Malfoy just happened to cross it.

All belongs to JK Rowling :)

I would love reviews :) I know that it's kind of tedious sometimes to go and review stories; but even if it's just a "Good job," or a smiley face or something, it means a whole lot to receive some kind of recognition that this was actually read by someone.
Thank you for reading this, even if you hated it. :)
