Becky Botsford stood stock still on well-trimmed grass, her hands gripping a small red helmet. Hot tears were brimming in her eyes, but she refused to break down.
Her family had realized how upset she was and left her alone for a few minutes, "We'll be in the car if you need us," Mr. Botsford had said removing his hand of her shoulder. TJ couldn't seem to say anything, one look from his sister and he was looking at his shoes.

A large marble gravestone stood tall in front of the teenager, on it inscribed in large beautiful letters-

Here lies Bob Botsford beloved pet and family member

And in letters of Lexiconion that sat underneath those-

Captian Huggy Face: Sidekick, pilot, and Friend!

She had insisted that they put that on the grave, though no one understood what it meant. Huggy had insisted that she learn the Lexiconian language even though she may never return there.
Becky placed the helmet in front of the gravestone, "I never thought this day would come," she muttered looking away from the Lexiconian inscription, "I thought you would live forever, but I suppose no one lives forever," she said giving a small fake smile, tears now rolling down her cheeks.
"Whenever I wake up I always expect you to be there! When I'm fighting Tobey, or Mr. Big I look for you," she said completely losing any composure she had.
"You saved me! You were always there, and I took you for granted," She gulped, "You'd probably deny it if you could hear me, but it's true! I'd always fly off without you, throw you at things!"
She kicked the ground, "Can-Can you do something for me?" she asked sniffing, but stopped herself. Instead she continued on a different subject, "You were one in a million, even though you drove me crazy sometimes!" she gave a cold laugh, "But… But you were always something consistent!" she balled her fists and got a determined look on her face, "When I lost doctor Boxlietner! When everyone was against WordGirl! When we were attacked by that intergalactic space squid!"
Memories of their adventures flooded back into her, making her feel slightly better. "You were my best friend! Everyone at the school misses you," she wiped her eyes, "Bob Botsford to them, but always- always Captain Huggy Face to me!"
She didn't even bother to see if anyone was around, using super speed she changed into her WordGirl Uniform. As her cape blew in the breeze WordGirl saluted. "Goodbye, I won't forget you!" now dry eyed the super hero turned and walked away.

If this has depressed you I've done my job right!
