The Summer Love Gone Wrong

By: Jennifer Coppersmith

Every now and then

Your eyes attract

To the one thing you desire

As a matter of fact

Your heart sputters and spins

Twist and twirls

You hope your women doesn't find

Another man and your

Boy doesn't find another girl.

Or you get one of those seemingly perfect

Midsummer loves'

The fresh, warm days and nights

You wish you couldn't let go of.

But then there are those heartbreaks

Everyone gets them

You lose the one you truly loved

And hope it doesn't happen again

As the sky opens up and the sun pours in

You meet another love and hope for the best within

After a while, your love loses its power

You feel nothing inside, only in the darkest hour

Your mind loses control and you don't know what to do

You try giving up on everything

And finding the one that's true

It wasn't a fairy tale ending or a beginning at that.

You just hope one day you'll find that person

Now where are they at?

The summer is finally over

And time has gone by.

You think of everything that's

Happened and it's gone

In a blink of an eye

Love still hasn't found you

You doubt it even would

Everything has gone down

The drain just like it should

The summer is finished with its final breath

Love will never find you

Beware of loveless death
