Quince Birth

It was a cold day in Waycross. All is it hectic it was a day I'd never forget. All my aunts were pregnant and due today. We were at the hospital. I was watching over each.

"Aunt Mel are you ok?" I asked.

"Yes Angel, can you check on the others please?" She asked. With that I left for Alexis's room. As the floor was freshly waxed, I slid into uncle Tim. In my haste. I found her screaming in pain. As I looked at her I knew she was in pain. This was her 1st baby.

"Aunt Lexi, how are you doing?" I asked.

"Not well Sweet Pea, I feel like its tearing me apart." She sobbed. I sat there for a moment before heading to Mary's room. Jesus was seated next to her. She had an epidural and seemed to be more relaxed. She was rubbing the belly lightly. I couldn't help smiling at this point.

"Aunt Mary, how are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm alright; having Je(Jesus) here helps with the pain I think Tracy wants you though." She said. Doing as directed. I went to see Tracy. I cursed the slippery floor as I skid into her daughter. To my surprise Tracy wasn't her usual rough and ready self, she was vulnerable. She was clearly beat by the pain.

"Hello Renee, Hi Aunt Tracy how are you feeling?" I asked,

"Mummy's in pain." Renee said.

"Butterfly I feel horrible." Tracy said. I did what I could for her. I sat with her coaching her through a contraction before Mrs. Johnstone called me. With that I slid into her room. Mrs. Johnstone was walking around attempting to deal with the pain. Her experience was showing here.

"You really have this in the bag Auntie J." I said

"It may look that way Cupcake, but it hurts." She said. I helped Mrs. Johnstone back to her bed without a moment's rest. Mary Called me. She was being held by Je (Jesus) as I slid in. She looked as though she was recovering. She had a contraction.

"Aunt Mary are you ok?" I asked breathlessly.

"Yes, I was worried about you. You know you could just pop in right?" She said. Once I started popping in it got easier. Since I could go in and out. Without effort, I decided to check on Melanie. As I popped into her room, Scarlet greeted me. Melanie was doing well.

"I see you took the easier route. Good." She said.

"I know. Stupid floor." I said.
