Title: Harry James Potter; the Life and Times of an Accidental Demi-God.
Basic Summary: After a prophecy is produced by Apollo in 1979, about a boy capable of defeating the "Escaper of Justice and Death" – or most commonly known as You-know-who – Hades and Aphrodite, for two completely different reasons, decide to lend a help in hand to the couple conceiving him. Nine months later, the result is an accidental Demi-God.
Disclaimer: I own neither Harry Potter nor Percy Jackson.
Part One
Introduction
Harry Potter knows that he is different from those around him – has known it, really, for years now. He knows that his relatives, and those that they speak to, are right in that singular sense: that he is very strange compared to them. And in all honesty, he knows that they, his relatives, who treat him as they do and despise him so fiercely, are the very least unusual part of his unusual life.
He knows, of course, that how they act towards him and what they do is not normal nor right, but he also knows that compared to everything else in his life, how they treat him barely scrapes the tip of his metaphorical unusual iceberg.
After all, he has always known that "normal" people do not have the gifts that he does, the reflexes, the instincts, or even the Dreams. He knows that it is not normal to be able to do what he does, to call forth ghosts and hide in shadows, to see and sense love, and to be able to disappear from one place and end up in another, mere seconds later.
He knows that everything about him is very much not normal compared to the others he is surrounded by, but he also knows – and far more importantly so – that his Gifts are normal for him, and that he would not change them for anything, even if he could.
AN: I know it's short - all of my prologue's/introduction's tend to be. The actual chapters will be at least 5,000 words a piece, though, so don't worry. Also, if anybody wants to be a beta reader for this, let me know? Hope you like it :)
