"Good evening, Riza." Roy said unenthusiastically as she opened her front door. He was wearing a long sleeved, collared, button down white shirt and black slacks. "Good evening, sir." She replied attentively, waving him inside her home. She was wearing a red strapless dress, which Roy noted was rather short and a little over-dressy. "How many times do I have to tell you? Just call me Roy when we're not working, Riza." Riza nodded and smiled. "all right sir."

They walked into her living room and she offered Roy a seat. "I'm surprised that you asked me to go out tonight, Riza. You know today is the worst day for me." She smiled. "But sir, it's your birthday." You can't just sit at home alone." He scoffed, "well I was going to grab a drink with Havoc when we got off, but he said he was to busy." He appeared to be upset that his friend ditched him on his birthday. Riza smiled in the back of her head at this, because Roy had always said he hated celebrating getting older. Everyone knew otherwise though, which is why they planned this night for him.

"anyways," Roy said with an annoyed tone in his voice. "Where are we going? You seem to be dolled up quite nicely." His tone changed near the end of his statement as he finished it with a smile. She smiled, trying not to blush at his comment." That's a secret." She said abruptly as her phone rang in the background and she left to answer it. Roy raised an eyebrow as she left the room, thinking to himself.

What's her deal? I've asked her to go out so many times and she's turned me down for one reason or another, and now she's asking me out? I hope it's not a pity date

His thought process was cut off as she reentered the room. "All right, the Rides here."

"Huh? Why didn't I just drive?" He said as she grabbed her purse and they headed out the door.

"That's why…" Riza said with a smile noticeable in her voice.

Roy blinked a few times to make sure he saw it, A limo was pulled up on the street in front of Riza's home. "No way…" Was all he could manage to say as he began to get the feeling that he was way underdressed for this occasion. Riza turned to him and grinned, something Riza never did. "Yes way." She said as she looped her arm in his and they got inside, sitting next to each other in the vacant limousine.

Roy stared at Riza for a few moments with half of a smile, unsure of what was going on but pretty sure he wasn't just going out to eat with Riza. Riza smiled innocently back at him. "What are you looking at me like that for, sir?" she said with a smirk. She was happy that she got him on his way, but not to sure that he would be happy when she told him where they were going. "lieutenant …where are we going?" he said, not really wanting to hear the answer. She blinked, "To your party, of course." She looked at him as if he asked a strange question.
