"Ah, it's so good!" Korra said, slurping her tea loudly. She pulled the cup, a squat, paisley affair, away from her mouth, smacking her lips approvingly. "Sure hit's the spot, eh, Asami?"

Asami chuckled, and took a small sip of her cup. The scent of jasmine, coconut, and honey wafted up towards her, and she instantly relaxed, taking another short sip. "Very, I'd say," she replied, setting her cup down on the saucer. It clinked softly, and she settled back into her chair, tucking her legs beneath her.

It had been Korra's idea to go to the tea shop. Payback, she said, fro the trip to get ice cream during the summer. Korra had searched high and low, trying her best to find a quiet space for just them: after all, there was never a moment's rest when the Avatar was your partner. Yet Korra had succeeded, finding refuge in a small corner shop simply called Cha. It was a small, square building that could only house about twelve patrons at once, but it had teas well worth tasting, rich in flavor and full-bodied.

Korra sighed, draining her third cup. She sat it back on the table and waved her hand. "I'll take what she's having!" Korra said as the waitress came over. She nodded and brought a hot pot of jasmine tea out on a tray.

Asami couldn't help but smile: Korra was finally herself, was finally able to be herself. No more airs or presentation: she was finally herself, brash personality and all. It made her heart grow fond, glad to see her girlfriend at ease for once.

Too bad, Asami thought, we can't stay here forever.

"Do you want me to leave the pot here?" the waitress said.

Asami looked at Korra, and nodded. "Yes, please do. I think we'll stay here a while longer." It wasn't forever, but for now, it was enough to warm Asami all the way through.
