AN: No clue where this idea came from. I do have others written. I just don't feel like typing them up so you're stuck with random snippets until I get around to finishing the longer ones. I hate transcribing stuff...
BTW anyone have a better title they'd like to suggest?

Steve wondered sometimes what his teammates thought of him being their leader. They seemed to constantly expect him to stumble over new technology and startle each time Stark Tony created something even more advanced and maybe he had on occasion though only from the feeling of deja vu Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Howard Stark! at the flashy presentation of each project. Didn't they realise he'd done this before? Initially, when he'd woken up from his deep-freeze state he'd had a lot of catching up to do, that was true, but a childhood as a scrawny asthmatic kid had taught him to fill his time with books instead of the sports and games others had. Maybe in the past he'd only really gotten to know Stark, Howard that is, after he'd had the serum so he'd seemed like the typical athletic stereotype How do you feel? Taller. but he'd always understood a lot more of the man's explanations than he'd let on.

It was out of habit and learned sarcasm that had come from dealing with the man on a regular basis during the war that he'd taken to dealing with Stark, Tony that is, the same way. It seems to run on some form of electricity. Sometimes though when he picked up things quickly with only brief explanations he saw his team look at him questioningly and could only shrug. His life had been one series of adjustments after another so really this was just par for the course.
