INFECTION
chapter 1:awakening
A dim light swung back and forth with the strong but stale wind. The light gave notice to two crumpled bodies on the cold hard cement floor. The darker haired one awoke first. His young shaved face was streaked with dirt and blood. He looked to the body beside him. Struggling to his feet he kicked the body lightly in the small of his back. The male groaned grabbing his head, which had a crude bandage wrapped around it, spotty with dark red stains. He managed to sit up looking around the small cold room before noticing the cell door which held him and his friend. He rubbed his dirty blonde and blood caked hair. He licked his lips as he stood up, gripping the wall for support. His mouth tasted like cotton. "Jack...What are we going to do? The man said before leaning over as he felt himself about to vomit.
The darker haired male looked through the cell door and cringed as he turned on an injured leg to face his friend. "I have no idea Dean." Dean sank back to the floor, not ready to get up. Jack let go of the bars and leaned against the stone wall. Suddenly, their was a light rumbling underneath their feet. "d-did you feel that jack?" Dean said, pulling his feet closer to his chest out of pure fear and moving his blue orbs to stare through the bars of the cell door. "You're paranoid Dean." Jack said, as he stretched his brown eyes to the limit to notice something out of the ordinary. Being a skeptic, he questioned everything. While Dean on the other hand loved to believe everything had a supernatural purpose. Now they were in an old prison cell on an old island. There was a much more forceful rumbling, throwing Jack off of his feet and onto the cement. "Diā¦did you feel that?" Dean said with terror in his voice. Jack jumped to his feet and pulled at the bars and Dean scrambled up behind him still holding his head. "What are you doing?" he asked. "Maybe that earthquake or whatever the hell it was loosened the bars." Jack said trying vainly to get the bars open. "Damn!" he said releasing his iron grip on the iron bars. Suddenly, a flash of a form and the door collapsed onto itself. "What the hell was that?!" Dean shouted jumping back to the wall. Jack put one foot outside then his head, smelling the stale century old air, Then looked back at Dean with a toothy grin. "Are you going to stand there wondering what happened or do you want out of this hellhole?"
