I love my corner, my corner is my corner and it is very cozy. My studies are going well so far so I decided that for an hour or two on this early October Saturday that I can read a book. I am on page 13 before the silence is interrupted, by two pairs of feet.

They walk to the row just cattycorner from my corner and sit down at the low counter that runs the length of the center bookshelves. Two light blonde heads peak between the books of the last case in the row.

I recognize the first voice immediately feeling a small smile pull at my mouth. It is Lorcan's voice, he's doing so well this year, only about 5 points off of my first year marks in every class. "So, if I move my wand sideways then almost a tapping motion then it will work."

"Yep, that's what the swish and flick motion is, just slide and tap; swish and flick." What! That's Mally. Why is Mally helping Lorcan; why is Lorcan letting him help? I had to get a better look maybe I'm wrong, pfft… yeah right, but a girl can hope.

I sneak to the case I had been peeking through from my corner and move a few books over to see the two boys clearly. I was right; it is Mally and Lorcan.

"Now, try it on this quill." I saw Lorcan visibly wince when Mally said that. "I know you blew it up the first time you tried it but we both know you can do it; don't be scared." I watch in amazement as Mally smiles and urges on Lorcan with a nudge to the elbow. Lorcan, still looking sheepish, directs his wand toward the quill and almost masterly does the swish and flick motion.

He does the motion a second time making sure he knows the movement before looking at Malfoy for some reason. Malfoy gives him a nod and a hand gesture to try out the entire spell. "Wingardrium-" Swish. "Leviosa." And Flick. The quill shivers and shakes for a moment before lifting off the counter and into the air. It floats and glides; I watch Lorcan, his eyes are wide with joy and his mouth is slightly open from surprise. The quill found its way back to the counter without a sound.

Lorcan is up in a bound and hugs Mally; Malfoy looks taken aback by it and doesn't respond to it at all. He just stays still. Does he not know what a hug is?

I quickly make my way back to my secluded corner. The shorter blonde comes bounding around the corner with only his wand and a quill. "Rosie, Rosie, I've been practicing that spell you taught me that I couldn't figure out in class. You know, the Levitation spell." I absently nod my head, up and down, it feels mechanical. "I think I got it can I show you?"

"Sure." I watch as he does the same amazing feat as I had just watched through a crack in the books. I smile thinking that I may have made that possible before a thought struck me. I give him my congratulations and he scurries out of my corner and probably out to find where ever Mally is with his books.

With no one in my corner I finish my earlier thought. Does Malfoy always teach him the spells that I am no good at teaching? Lorcan has came to me a day later with many spells I've tried to teach him and he knows them that time; does he always go to Mally for help? Is Malfoy really a better teacher than me as well as everything else?

Well, this is just great; now I'm going to sit here and ponder these questions instead of being able to go back to my book, and it was a REALLY good book. "Humph."
